About a week ago, I asked a question, which was deleted. So before anyone decides to click that button, this IS a question, I am NOT attacking anyone, and I really DO want an answer.
The question is this:
Why do some Muslim apologetics try to use the Bible to validate Muhammed's prophet status, and yet consider the Bible to be corrupted? How can a "corrupted" book validate Islam's prophet?
I'm just trying to understand you guys. Can you help me out?

so simple...
coz we believe in Qur'an, while u don't... so, to finish discussions successfully, our evidence should come from ur bible. e.g. when we say hijab is good in islam, all refuse the idea...so, to give the knock-out (sorry for expression) we try to get its legality from the bible itself as: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqAw2RF3oXlK2biV7H_.WnA8.Bd.;_ylv=3?qid=20071207100608AA2rmbR
in fact, i did not try using the bible, for i don't like talking about something i am not very experienced; not to b trapped (lol) or appear violent or misunderstanding it. i instead like driving my evidence from Qur'an & logic
peace :)

The Bible is used to substantiate various elements of Islam to non-Muslims as those elements appear in the Bible. The Muslim view on the Bible is that it is no longer in its original form, but that it does contain elements of truth. When in conversation with non-Muslims, Muslims refer to parts of the Bible that are in common with Islam.

The reason that some Muslims claim that Prophet Muhammad was mentioned in the Bible is that if one were to change the spelling of a certain Greek word, it would translate back to Aramaic as a cognate of Prophet Muhammad's name.

Because we believe the Bible was at one time the word of God. Since it has been corrupted, we are instructed not to believe it AND not to disbelieve it. To put it simply, whatever is in there that makes sense and agrees with the Quran, we will use it. It's not like the Bible has been corrupted 100%. There's still some good stuff left.

Thanks for the question and the good intention of knowledge you have.
As Muslims we believe that bible was revealed to Jesus and in the original copy of it it has a clear mention of the Prophet Muhammad ( Quran mention that) however we believe also that Bible was severely corrupted after the Jesus WAS LIFTED TO THE HEAVENS.
That does not mean that every thing in nowadays bible is wrong. It might still have some truth in it. The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) encouraged us to learn any thing form Bible that does not contradict with Quran.

The Qur'an has nothing to do with Muhammad he never wrote in it read it or knew it existed, the same applies to the Hadiths.

Islam is a ridiculously fraudulant religion, thats only claim to authenticity is Muslims shouting how correct they're.
