I have never heard of this happening.

Once a person is infected with chicken pox and get over the blisters the virus does still live in your body. However it is not contagious to anyone else.

The same virus may later cause Shingles later in life. One can spread the virus to others while in an out break of Shingles but the person infected has to come into contact with the fluid from the blister in order to be infected with chicken pox

EDIT:
You can not give someone Shingles. Shingles is a secondary infection of the Chicken Pox Virus. One HAS to have chicken pox in earlier life.

Shingles does not show up if you are exposed to the chicken pox virus again. It usually is caused by stress.

Yes. Symptoms of chickenpox begin between 10 and 21 days after a person is exposed. The illness typically includes fever and a generally sick feeling. This is soon followed by itchy, red bumps that quickly become fluid-filled and are easily recognized as chickenpox. They appear in various stages over the next few days and eventually crust over.
If you think you may have chickenpox - call or go to your doctor! You can infect others and not know it. Most people in the US have been vaccinated but there are still some who don't get it (religious reasons, personal beliefs, etc.) Do the wise thing and get tested.
If you do turn out to have it - DON'T SCRATCH!!! You can and will spread it to other areas of your body and others. I have seen people who have gotten chickenpox on their eyes, in their noses and other very uncomfortable places because they were scratching at the "pox".
Once you have had chickenpox, the virus stays dormant in your body. If something triggers another reaction, it usually develops into shingles (you had to have chickenpox in order for this to occur) - which can be very painful, especially in adults.

Good luck!

The virus stays dormant in your body and can re-emerge as shingles if you're exposed to someone with chicken pox. If you're worried about passing it on, ask your doctor.

Yes. Also, once you've had chicken pox you will always have the virus in your body and it will come out as shingles when you are run down.
