If it is specifically for atheists, then it is a religion question because you are segregating your answer based on religious affiliation.

Atheisism is a religion. I'm so sick of all the junk about Jesus and Christians that I've decided to go off here for good. Some questions are just to stupid and inmature to answer. Too many people are just trying to be "cute: and act big. I thought this was for people to ask serious questions and hope for a truthful answer. Some yes, but more are just taking time to misuse it and speak evil of Jesus. They don't want answers-they want to get points and downgrade MY LORD. If you all want to downgrade the Lord then why don't you have group meetings so you can all do it together ? Why can't you allow this space for serious people asking serious questions ? Are you so lacking self confidence that you have to use this as a space to belittle and taunt ? Do any of you feel big that maybe you sent a soul to hell during this? You know their blood will be on you IF you have. I feel sorry for you but I can see by the number of questions that you dominate this site and there's no room for Christians. That's too bad ,because some may have been helped by my answers. I don't claim to have all the answers but I do know from experience , the Lord is the answer to all. Perhaps someday there will be a site here for mature, intelligent, and sincere people wanting answers for their pain. Not from people wanting to destroy the name of God. You have a choice and you made it. Why can't you ask questions about atheisim and your religion and leave it there.? Why so you have to degrade the beliefs of others. We believe we're right anfd you believe you're right. So can't you explain your views without downgrading ?

Interesting question. Atheism itself should not be considered a religion rather a position on the variety of world mythologies. Therefore technically you probably shouldn't but since most books about atheism are shelved in "Religion" in bookstores, why not?

If it deals with the topic of religion, then stay here and ask it. If it deals with a type of science, then go to science and ask it.

If it's a religious question or pertaining to religion yes.

If it's a science question no.

Atheists aren't necessarily scientists. Neither are they a group.

why would you ask questions about Atheists in the science section ?
not all Atheists are scientists

Atheism means without the belief in any Gods
this is the place to ask them

Sure. This is where we like to hang out to get some laughs. Science is right, but boring sometimes.

Ah, so you want answers in quantity, not quality.

That explains so much of why science questions are asked here.

Depends on if it's a religious or science question, doesn't it. Not all atheists are scientists, although the majority of scientists are atheists.
