It`s just a simple copper harness worn
under your clothes with straps that protrude about 2ft from you trouser bottoms, weighs roughly 18lbs.

It works for me. I haven't been struck by lightning yet...

My top tip is to use a copper braid rather than the solid conductor. In this way I have managed to get the weight down to 12lbs. It's just as effective, Hey, I'm living proof.

because we are not insane. The chances of getting hit by lightning are hardly high enough to warrant the need to wear an earthing strap. If you go through life thinking you're going to get hit by lightening then you should really try and get out more.

Maybe we understand the odds of getting killed by lightning are minuscule, whereas the odds of getting a double hernia caused by dragging an 18lb load around for no apparent reason are pretty good!

P.S. If you do get hit by lightning while wearing this contraption, would you please ask your next of kin to donate the copper wire to me as it's fetching a hell of a price on the scrap metal market at the moment? Thanks in advance.

A walking lightning rod? That is awesome. What will you Brits come up with next?

Can you get the muslims to wear them? Now that might be worthwhile.
