Someone told me that Hitler actually went to heaven, because he had faith in Christ and salvation is through faith, not works? what do you make of this?

I say... NO one is in Heaven as it is a fictional place.

But, yeah, as a Christian - if he repented all his sins right before dying then by the Bible's rules, he IS in Heaven. The ONLY sin that can't be repented is being a non-Christian (according to Christianity of course). Everything else, including murder, is fine.

Dear gwelch,

When the Bible uses the word faith it is not simply an intellecutla belief in God- but it is a belief that is so deeply rooted and sincere that it is reflected in the lifestyle of that individual.

That being said- we can all agree that Hitler's lifestyle seemed quite contrary to that of the teachings of the Bible and Jesus Christ.

So whether Hitler went to heaven or not is between him and Jesus Christ. If at some point he truly realized that the way that he had been living his life was evil and repented (sincerely- God sees man's heart) then like the thief who died next to Christ -- God's grace is that kind.

From what i've read and known about Hitler i personally doubt it. But really it's between him and Jesus and i think that most people who say this- use it as a way to perpetrate hate against Christians-- and to say that Christians are nazis, etc. What Hitler did was atrocious and unbiblical, and un-Christ like,...

Kindly,

Nickster

faith without works is dead Jas 2:26. hitler hated christians, so WHY WOULD HE BE IN HEAVEN?
Hitler viewed religion as an obstacle in his path to absolute power. “One is either a Christian or a German. You can’t be both,” he once declared. He intended gradually to eliminate all forms of worship that he could not control. To that end, the Nazis developed their own quasi-religious prayers, festivals, baptisms, and even burial services. Hitler was their messiah, and the fatherland their god. Any atrocity could be committed if Hitler willed it.

Neither Stalin nor Hitler succeeded in their drive to suppress religion. But now, apathy seems to have taken over the role of tyranny. For Bible students this turn of events does not come as a surprise. The apostle Paul told Timothy that in the “last days” people would be “lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.”—2 Timothy 3:1-4.

I just cannot see Hitler or all the other mass murderers being in Heaven. I see nothing at all that Hitler did produce good fruits to anyone but himself. I do not believe that God would put any people near Hitler and I really think he is in Hell roasting Marshmallows.

Well, it is sort of a pointless thing to debate as no one can know for sure if anyone goes to heaven or not. However .. it is NOT through works. So we will not know until we get there and see if Hitler is in the heavenly white pages.

No disrespect for the person who told you that, but he/she was incorrect. Hitler was responsible for an incredible amount of negative Karma. After going over his life, he and the judge set the structure of his next life [which undoubtedly would necessitate his incarnating as some animal or insect as one of many such lives.

After this judgment, he went to some hell for re-education, and this stay would surely be a long one. Eons, one would imagine.

After who knows how many lifetimes of pain and suffering as animals, he would eventually earn a human birth. He then would begin hundreds of years of paying off the mountains of Karmic obligation he accumulated during the 1930's and 1940's. Lifetimes of receiving [reaping] what he [sowed] in causing thousands of others to experience during his years of responsibility.

The Law of Karma is an Absolute, and none escape it.

Peace

That's a bunch of lies, to start with Hitler came from a jewish family so he did not believe in Jesus Christ; You are justifyed by faith but saved by works, one thing doesn't work without the other James 2:17.

Besides God said "Thou salth not kill" Exodus 20:13 and he killed six million innocent people, so forget it I doubt he will be taken innocent in judgements day.

yeah first off nobody would know that...

secondly, faith is shown through works, not without them.

(faith without works is dead)

But hey if he is in heaven, how great is that for the rest of our chances?

i have a feeling that when hitler got to the astral plane, his thoughts manifested a very very dark place for him, and he is probably still there trying to find his way out but only creating more trouble for himself. christ can help, but you gotta make the moves yourself. if his moves on earth were any indication....

He may claim to be a Christian, but by "their woks" you will know a Christian, and he did not live a Christ following life. Jesus would not do what he did. I vote no. But no one really knows, God knows the heart.

Abe to God:

Gen 18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
