In the United States, liquids carried onto an aircraft are restricted by the TSA to containers of less than 3.1 ounces (100mL), which can fit into one quart-sized ziploc-type bag. You may place liquids into your carryon bag in larger quantities so long as those liquids are not otherwise disallowed by the TSA.

Yes you can carry Olive oil in 3 oz. or smaller container. You can check: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm
Here you can check for items which are allowed or not allowed on a plane.

I don't see why you shouldn't be able to bring olive oil on the plane.

Probably not! Each airport has a list of what you can carry on and how much! But I don't think olive oil is one of them!!!

I would suggest that prior to traveling that you visit the TSA website https://www.tsa.gov/ they have the list of what is and is not allowed on the aircraft with you in both your checked and carry on luggage.
