I remember a recipe on the back of a box of hot cocoa packets, but cannot remember which one.

The recipe included cocoa powder, milk, ice, and vanilla extract mixed in a blender.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm trying to find the recipe to find out the exact amount of each ingredient.

Here's one for excellent frozen hot chocolate: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/109560

Ingredients:

6 half-ounce pieces of a variety of your favorite chocolates
2 teaspoons storebought hot chocolate mix
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups ice
Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings

Preparation:

Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water, stirring occasionally until melted. Add the cocoa and sugar, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended. Remove from heat and slowly add 1/2 cup of the milk and stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature.

In a blender place the remaining cup of milk, the room temperature chocolate mixture, and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Enjoy with a spoon or a straw. . . .or both!

Enjoy!

Sorry, this might be a bit different.
If you dont like this the check out the other recipies above. Theyr'e great!

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups half-and-half (or light cream)
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a medium saucepan, combine the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Add 1/2 cup of the half-and-half and whisk until smooth. Whisk in the remaining 2-1/2 cups of half-and-half.

Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the mixtures is smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Stir in the vanilla extract. Cover and refrigerate until VERY cold, at least 3 hours or as long as 3 days.
Stir the mixture WELL to blend and pour into the canister of an ice cream maker. Freeze/operate according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Eat at once or transfer to covered container and freeze up to 4 hours (we frozen and ate over several days with no change in flavor and just a slight difference in texture since it loses that soft-serve quality).
