Supermarkets sell it. It is in fact a barley wine and yes...it is very strong!

i used to b pub landlord and ran a pub where we sold 20 cases a week of gold label all the old ladies used to drink it because it was strong and in the winter it would warm them up supermarkets sell it

You can buy it in most off licence shops or wine stores..I drank a can of gold lable once and it burned my throat like hell..I did'nt bother with silver lable.

Don't know about the cans.
However, I can tell you it's sold in small bottles and I THINK 1x bottle is the strength of a double whiskey.
