Ok here we go with pascals wager again.
The argument that believing in God is the most logical thing to do since if there is a God and you deny him, then you are in trouble. If there is no god and you accept him, there is no problem because it doesn't matter. Logically, it is better to not deny that God exists than to deny he does. There is truth to this argument, but the problem is that it does not define which "god" to believe in since in many religions, believing in a different god brings a punishing judgment. Nevertheless, this does not excuse a person from at least trying to discover if there is a God or not and who He might be

What if you are wrong and the Muslim faith is right? What if you go to hell for eating pork or eating bits from the back end of the animal? What if, since eating Kosher is spelled out in the Old Testamant for the Christian faith as well as the Jews, you go to hell for eating a shellfish? Hell for only one clam? Roasting on an eternal grill just like those baby back ribs - "Oh, Chili's, how could you send us all to hell????"
See, everyone tells us they are right. But Atheists don't gamble - well, at least not with our beliefs. So someday when you and the Muslims and the Mormons and the Jehovah's Witnesses have all picked ONE religion to share, call us up and we might talk about it with you. Until then, it's just your talk and everybidy else buzzing in our ears.

Pascal's Wager -- You know that this gets asked so often it is part of our drinking game
- It assumes there is no downside. There is. You spend your life (the only one you do have) following a lie. That is a HUGE downside.
- How would you know which God to pick? The evidence is the same for Anubis, so what happens to you when you are wrong and you can't pass the questions from the Book of the Dead or your heart weighs heaver than a feather. There are thousands of others with the same evidence. Just picking one randomly doesn't do much for your odds.
- How could you hope to fool a god by saying you believe when you don't?

Oh no, here we go with Pascal's Wager for the 112th time...this week! If you want to be safe with one god, you must be safe like that Binnie in the movie "The Mummy" who had emblems of several religions on necklaces. What if you are wrong about Odin, and he sends you to the realm of grim Hela instead of Valhalla? What if you are wrong about Zeus, and he throws you into Tartarus tied to a firey wheel or pushing a stone up a hill forever? What if you are wrong about Ahuramazda, Allah, Amon, Baal, Brahma, Yu Ti, Marduk, etc.? I am not wrong, but you are. Truth is not a matter of what one chooses it to be. several intelligent men said they would not want to go to Heaven if it did exist. I read Mark Twain's "Tom Sawyer' when I was age 8, and he did not want to go. I soon agreed with him. I told dad I didn't want to go to Heaven at age 11. I saw errors in the Bible at age 7, so I knew even then that you are wrong. try thinking for yourself for a change. Pascal said that illogical stuff long ago, and it has been refuted many times by now.

Yes ! If the atheists are wrong---------then to hell they go. If Christians are wrong, then all that happens to them, is they live a more peaceful and happy life. But the ones of us that have experienced the love and mercy of Christ know , without a shadow of a doubt, that Christ is real. Praise
God

What if we happen to find out that its all wrong....and E.T.'s brought all the masters to earth to help educate us........and we killed most of them......Hell couldn't be worse than what some humans are experiencing in this life time right now as I write this. I believe in life after death just not as you happen to see it. I believe I will give my Creator more room....he is very diverse........he has many ways..........for each experience......we limit Creator like we are the Creator's...he has many rooms...many heavens. I myself believe in a God with compassion per experience, per person. We are indeed many leveled as humans and I give us all much room for growth.
Shine on.....!

If I'm wrong to believe in The Great Pumpkin (which I'm not) I'm just a dolt sitting in a pumpkin patch. If you don't believe in The Great Pumpkin and you're wrong, you miss out on all kinds of great toys. So, I have nothing to lose and you have nothing to gain. I think I'll choose to believe in The Great Pumpkin.

Pascal's Wagner so early in the morning? Instead of treating this often-used argument as a drinking game (my liver will be dead by noon), I'll simply use this quote:
"If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed."

But you'll have wasted your life in following rules that were set down by man, not god as you believe. I'll at least have lived a full life, and if I'm punished even though I've been a good person, then the god who does so isn't deserving of worship.
