Doesn't that mean he created evil? If he didn't want evil to exist, it wouldn't. Why make innocents suffer?

If it exists, according to the Bible, God created it. How could he not be responsible for evil? He created everything.

IF IT EXISTS, GOD CREATED IT! Evil exists, free will, not withstanding. You couldn't choose to be "evil" if it did not exist. God gave us, including Satan the capacity to be evil. You can have good with out evil.

None of those people/beings started out evil. They all used their Free Will to choose evil. When God created Lucifer, he was a beautiful, good angel, well loved by everyone, and he occupied the highest position just under Jesus. But he let his beauty and position go to his head, and he eventually believed that he could do a better job of running the universe than God, so he led a mutiny of 1/3 of the angels of Heaven. They were, of course, kicked out, and are down here on Earth wreaking havoc.
People like Hitler, Stalin, etc., didn't start out evil. Hitler was an innocent young boy at one point. He was quite a talented artist. His mother's death hit him pretty hard, and the fact that the doctor who was supposed to be taking care of her was Jewish didn't help his future view of Jews.
Even Marx, who was the inspiration for people like Lenin, Stalin and Hitler, started out as a very pious Christian. He wrote a paper in school about how much he loved the Lord. But then he went to (gasp!) a secular university, where they wiped God out of his brain and replaced it with evolution. He then turned against God and wrote a book that changed the world for the worse.
God didn't "create" these people to be evil. He created them innocent, but they later used their Free Will to choose evil. It happens all the time.

THe people who have done evil in the world had the freedom to choose to do evil--they were also influenced by Satan to destroy GOd's world and his people.
Studying law, in particular, criminal law, has made me think about this a lot--why are people so freakin' mean? It's because they have totally forsaken the light and have given themselves over to their own selfish desires, made themselves their own gods, and have often totally lost the spirit of light that should dwell with them (conscience.)
Don't worry about the "innocents." THis life is just a tiny moment in time, suffering in this little existance, is minute is regards to eternity, and good and innocent people are taken into the arms of God when they have completed their lives.
The justice of GOd awaits those who have done profound evil to others.

If you don't have evil, there is no such thing as good. You can't have one without the other. If there were no such thing as evil, how would we know if something was bad or good? I don't think God intended for evil to be so rampant. He just gave us free will and we chose for ourselves.

The Bible doesn't say God created the devil. The devil is the evil. The devil gets into people causing them to do evil things.

It goes to show how innocent you may be. You have been given a choice then you live by the rules (consequences) that follow. God has said in His Word that every 1 is given a choice to follow or reject Him. Me I gladly follow Him & trust in Him every day because He supplies my every need. It all goes to the fact of conscience(free will). SIN will find you out. Then the consequences, DEATH
