Sing (v.)
=Utau (歌 (uta) う)
eg. sing a song =Uta wo utau (歌 (uta)を歌 (uta) う)

Voice (n.)
=Koe (声)
eg. Her voice is beautiful. = Kanojo no koe wa kirei desu. (彼女 (kano jo) の声 (koe) はきれいです)

Uta o Utaimasu = I Sing a song (The guy below me has the unconjugated verion)
Koe = Voice

There might be a second "i" in Utaimasu (Utaiimasu) but I don't remember for sure, it's close though. Keep in mind in Japanese that "i" makes a long "e" sound and that "e" makes a long "a" sound. Masu also comes across more like "moss".
