this is what we did. take the tape of in the morning and see how the ears stand throughout the day. if they start to fall tape them up again. if evening comes and they are still standing, tape them anyways. you want the ears to adjust slowly.
next time do the same thing. if they are still standing in the evening, tape just the bases (2 strips of tape around the base of the ear, tape tightly) this will prevent the base from damaging when the puppy sleeps. take the tape off in the morning and see how the ears are doing. if they are still standing great. if they start to drop tape them up again. I taped the bases of the ears for about 3 weeks after we took the last posting off. We also have a show crop.
good luck

You should take the tape off in the morning and give the ears a good cleaning. If the ears stand standing all day long and don't fall at all, you are getting there. I would still tape her at night time tho. To make sure that she isn't sleeping on untaped ears. Do this for 3 days and then the 4th day leave them untaped at night. If she wakes up and they are standing, you are likely done. But, remember at 21 weeks, she is still teething, so the ears are likely to fall a few times over the next few months. If you want to make sure they stand, continue taping as you have been. Probably taping for 5 days and untape, clean and retape.

They are ready to stand when you take the braces off and they stay up. If they start to flop re-tape immediatly. You don't want to allow the ears to flop or it can cause problems with them standing correctly. Do keep in mind though that while she is teething they may go up and down.

Going to star this in the hopes that DP will see it.

Boy, am I ever glad I don't have dog breeds that need earcropping!!! I feel for you! (I do, however, have a breed that requires more than a bit of grooming so I suppose it all evens out!)

Your best bet is to call your breeder, they should know.
