How do I deal with a guy who's being mean to me in order to hide the fact that he actually likes me?

This guy I used to like last year has taken an interest in me lately & he seems like he's testing the waters to see if I'm still interested.(it's obvious to me he does really like me)

Usually,he's pretty good with me & tries to make me laugh , but sometimes he says very rude things, esp after he's asked me something which might make me think that he likes me now. He's 17 & I can see he hasn't matured yet.But how do I manage his occasional wrong-doings?(I still have a bit of feelings for him which makes it harder to come up with a good comeback, plus I really don't want to stoop as low as he does at those times)

Thanks all.

If you don't want to stoop to his level, ignore him altogethre. He seems very immature and indecisive.

Your right on the maturity level he is not mature at all because if he really really likes you he wouldn't say any mean things at all.. just tell him that you like him but you don't appreciate some of the things that he says... Tell him how you really feel.. good luck i hope it works..

I think communication is the key to every situation. You already know that guys are much more immature than we are. i suggest you talk to him and tell him what the issue is and you both should be able to work it out or get along just fine if you can't be lover's be friends.

Be his friend? and always tell him when hes being an idiot. He will only learn if someone actually tells him whats he's doing wrong. If he starts to listen then maybe he will change and mature more.

Quit the flirting and lay a big one on him. That would send the message loud and clear, and I think that might end the mean streak.

Dealing with a boyfriend who can be rude at this early in the game is not good... You don't need to put up with that... it will only get worst....

Really what you should do is tell him if he wants you he has to step up a level, not have you stoop down.

When he says or does something you find out of line bring him up on it. But, with humor, this way he knows your boundaries and hopefully will adjust his behavior as he doesn't really want to offend you.

I would just ask him if he likes me and tell him to stop acting rude.

You need to honestly address the issue with him - just like you did here.
