well...usually girls put it in their mind...that the guy loves them...since the girl usually does love him...its like a psycological way of being desperate...and you usually do hope they change....or they are scared of what will happen if they try to leave....

Well I had hurt my knee and my bf was like o really what did you do and I was like idk it just hurts and he was like well can I hit your knee and i was like well no it hurts why would I let you do that and he hit it anyway and so i broke up with him cause he had been being a jerk and then he was like well the whole time i was cheating on you and now he is begging for me back but i wont do it. I think the real answer is girls stay with the guy because they are afraid he will hurt her if she breaks up with him!

Well, to be real, a huge reason is that there afriad to be alone. Me, I'm not. i have one rule. And it's known from the time we get together, till we break. You cheat on me once, no matter how long we've been together and it's over. Now you hit me, LOL, I'm gone beat yo *** and you'd better hope that I don't kill you. but that me. A black female and proud of it. hope that I could help.

Most men who physically abuse their gf usually mentally abuse them too. I've been thru that. They make you believe that they are the only ones who will love you and they often threaten you if you leave. They get you in some kind of mind control thing. It's hard to explain that part. One day I just got tired of getting hit, took off out the door and ran over his foot with the car while he was trying to stop me.

mostly its because there desperate. a lot of girls and women want a relationship, and they fear that if they break up with someone, they will never have a long-term relationship. unless the guy was drunk, and they were on a break [Like ROSS and RACHEL!] then the theory stands "Once a cheater, always a cheater." And, if he hits you, break up with him! Its not right! Hope this helps =]

They are not thinking clearly and are staying in an unhealthy relationship because it feels right to them, they are so co-dependant that they couldn't see their life without this guy that hurts them.
Remember this quote, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results."

Some women really believe that they can't do any better, their self esteem is so low they feel they deserve to be hit. NO ONE should be hit.

There are people who, for one reaseon or another, have low self-esteem. They would unconsciously feel they deserve that treatment. You assessment is correct. Abuse only gets worse. Part of the reason for that is that once it happens and nothing is done its like telling the abuser its ok.

I got out of my relationships when I was cheated on. I respect myself more than to stick around.
