Because the reality is; god is imaginary.
Pretty simple actually. Now if only more Americans could join the rest of the world in realizing that; the country could move forward in so many areas instead of sliding back to the dark ages.

The reason why religion cannot give us proof of Gods existence is because religion is a man-made system. How can something created by man prove God? If you are looking towards religion you are looking in the wrong direction- it is about Relationship, Science and faith..all these work together to prove God's exsistence. No. so you cannot say that anyone has found God by searching for him in pyshical form..but I am sure that would be impossible since a creator of our entire universe would be pretty hard to grasp..first we have to understand this..God is not a human like us..if that were true..well whats the point!
We find evidence for God in Science..perfect equations in mathematics, laws of gravity and time..the perfection of how things work points to a creator. A car is created by man, crafted and put together ...this incredible system had a creator..to me it makes way more sense that there is a creator than there is not. If we start here, we can go from there

As an engineer, I am a scientist of sorts. Science has made great strides, but it is always evolving. There are basic indisputable scientific facts, but I do not have much confidence in some of the science I am familiar with, i.e. dating methods, etc. Some of the science crosses the line and becomes almost a Religion. Not as a rule though. Many scientist believe in God, many don't.

I am a Deist. I believe in intelligent design/God/Gods, whatever. However, there is no proof that God exists. I draw my conclusion from the observation of nature, etc. The Atheist draws different conclusions from the same observations. Neither of our conclusions are provable.

There is no proof, scientific or otherwise that the Bible is true, that Jesus existed or that Christianity is what God wants us to believe. This is evident by the thousands of different beliefs spewed by the millions of deluded Christians.

Religion invented faith because it is short of facts.

The funny thing here is that those of us who live in the non religious world, ask for and never get any proof of what the Religious spew. I've been on here asking for facts and I get feel good, "Jesus Loves you!" crap.

Just watch. That's what you'll get in answer to your question.

Isn't it funny that in order to be Religiousus you have to wrap your whole life up in it, no matter which one you choose.

He Religio-psychos: You can't all be right.

Religion may not have the answers most seek! You only have to have an open mind to see that this earth was created and wether we call the Creator God or not, well that is up to you. I live at the ocean and view the remnants of the "flood" every day.I see the Creator's handy work every day and we can all see that if we chose to look. It need not be the ocean it may be a bird a flower a cloud. Just look and don't ever think a "big bang" created all this! True, science also plays a major part in God's creation and sometimes it may seem that they have all the answers yet I don't think they have!

Its not religion its the Word of God that tells us why things are the way they are. Job 26:7 He stretcheth forth the North over the empty place, & hangeth the Earth upon nothing. So even Job way back then about 4000 or so yrs ago knew of the very existance of God. Why does any 1 ? this simple fact? Science can explain God, God does not need to explain science.

Of course no religion can prove in scientific terms that their god exists they believe he does and it is called faith. There is nothing wrong with that until they start influencing other peoples lives based on their ideas formed from this belief in a none provable idea. This does happen in many societies. Witness what happened in Sudan last week. These "believers" can get very dangerous and it is for this reason a lot of us atheists get involved on this site to make some small attempt to combat such a menace

Interestingly science has proven over and over that a God has to exist for all of everything else to. But it is the closed circuitry of the mind of the man who stops himself from expanding his scientific search further, thus laying down and dying an inglorious death by concluding there is no God in the face of all the evidence there is one.

Religion is created over long periods of time, it will take a long period of time for religion and science to come together and work in harmony the way God hopes for it to.

Really? Science has proven the existence of love and loyalty? Of truth and justice? Science can PROVE that Leif Ericcson was real, and not just a fairy tale? I never knew that!

Can you prove that Nikola Tesla was real and not a character like Dr Zarkov?

We have a book full of eyewitness accounts, and also prophecies being fulfilled. This they refuse to count as "proof."
They refuse to even consider it.

Science has made some discoveries as to how God has done somethings, but have failed miserably in recognizing the Hand of God in Creation. They choose to believe evolution, and that there is no God. Well, if you start of with your own pre-conceived belief, you can find or fabricate whatever you want and say it points to what you chose to believe in the first place. This is what the scientists did.

The fact that mankind has the capacity for cognitive thought should be proof that God gave us this ability while every other species on earth are so far behind.

Science has made many discoveries and yet, they often contradict each other. One day coffee will kill you the next day it is good for you. Don't be so quick to applaud their findings since they often change their minds.

Religion is not a science my friend, it is belief based on faith. Faith is believing in the unseen, therefore if we could prove it, it would no longer be faith, would it?

That is the way God wants it. He wants us to question, but more than that he wants us to have faith in him.
