Palestinians are part of the Arab people. The Israelis are just Israelis. Why won't Saudi Arabia make place for the Palestinians because it's so much bigger than Israel? That way, Palestinians can be with their own people and live in much bigger territory. Thoughts?

Well, Israel knows how to make room for other people and groups. Don't tell me Saudi Arabia can't make a separate place for Palestinians.

Check out an excellent text that looks at several issues and events from the viewpoints of both Israeli and Palestinian students, one on each side of a page spread. It's called "Learning Each Other's Historical Narrative." It's from the Peace Research Institute in the Middle East, written by an Israeli scholar and a Palestinian scholar.

I never see why Palestinians want Palestine back so much they are willing to kill. They lost a war, and the UN gave the Israeli's their land (well, what they didnt win when the Arab nations started a war to destroy Israel). This question has actually puzzled me as well, as I can't imagine why, even when Palestinians wanted to move to other Arab countries, the nations would not allow them to. Then, the Arab countries would yell at Israel for creating refugees. Not that Israel is perfect mind you.

Because they would have to move the homes and livelihoods of thousands of people. The logistics are too complicated, especially if they don't want to leave...you cant shoot them all...

Same problem in south Serbia. There are too many Albanians (the average birth rate per family is five) and they are overflowing into Kosovo. Now they want to make Kosovo part of Albania, this is called passive warfare.

Palestinians are part of the Arab people. The Israelis are immigrants who came from many countries.
Why won't other countries make place for the their native citizens because it's so much bigger than Palestine?
That way, The Israeli can be with their native people and live in much bigger territory. Thoughts? If Israel has the right to exist so does Palestine. Thoughts?

spReez. Palestinians are native people of the country.

None of the middle east countries want them. They are considered trash by the other middle east countries.
They only get involved in the conflict, because it gives them a reason to openly criticize Israel, and they can arm the Palestinians and let them do the fighting against Israel, without being involved and having Israel come and kick their butts.

Oh, the irony of someone saying that 'Jews should go back where they came from'. lol lol Israel IS where we come from, you numbskull!

Now to the asker:

The original term 'Palestinian' referred to Jews, Christians and Arabs living there. The Arabs had largely come from surrounding countries such as Syria, Lebanon, Egypt.

There were ALWAYS Jews living in Palestine; we have been there CONTINUOUSLY for the last 3000 years. The way some people tell it, we just suddenly rocked up in 1948! Well, that's rubbish - and everyone damn well knows it.

I don't deny that Palestinian Arabs need a homeland. I don't deny they have suffered. But I'm fed up with hearing people LIE about the way we Jews behaved. We did not 'steal' anything. Israel, like Jordan, was ratified by the UN.

Why is nobody complaining about Jordan being created that way?

Britain - rightly or wrongly - held the mandate for Palestine. Britain decided on partition. A bit of the land was offered to the Jews, and a bit of a larger slice was to go to the Palestinian Arabs.

The Jews said yes. The Arab world said no. Within 12 HOURS of Israel officially being recognised, SEVEN Arab armies had attacked her.

THIS IS OBJECTIVE, HISTORICAL, VERIFIABLE FACT.

Had the Arab world said yes to partition, then today the Palestinians would already have a home. How is it the fault of Israel or the Jews that the Arab world said no?
Answer: IT ISN'T.

Dude

The country may be recognized today as Israel, but it is actually called Palestine. It's Palestinian homeland and nobody deserves to be pushed out of their homeland.

Think about it this way, Germany was technically the country that forced Jews into excile during WWII, its technically because of the Nazis that the Jews even left Europe. Why doesn't everyone just punish Germany and Poland for what they did and force them to become Jewish lands.

I am Palestinian, My dad was born in Bethlehem and my mother's family is from Jerusalem. They were forced out of their homes, my dad's school was blown up by Israeli army.

I don't understand what the fairness is in making Palestinians leave all their homes and suffer just because the Jews did. Nobody has any right to inflict pain and suffering on another.

See It is because that land use to belong to Palestinians for thousands of years. And in 1947 that land was taken away form them and given to Jews and Jews made it in to what we now call it as Israeli.

Now if you go back few thousand years back Jews use to live there long before Palestinians ever lived, so as you can see that land belong to both of them.

Why should the Palestinians go to Saudi Arabia, it's not their land, they have a land...Palestine.

Since when does Israel know how to make room, building walls and taking over.
