I can't remember the name , but I know there is something in the market where you buy this powder ( or liquid ) and pour it in the dog bowl with his water . Not tonly does it clean his teeth but it helps with his breath too .

I have big dogs and rather than fight with them what we did was put 2 large nails in the door frame at an angle on our back porch. One on each side. There's a 4 ft. leash hanging on each nail. The nails are palced just high enough so both leashes can be attached to collars while dog is standing in the middle of the doorway. They can't move their heads from side to side very far or go forward and back more than a couple of steps so they are much easier to hold in place while teeth are cleaned or meds are given.Ears and toenails are not a problem with our dogs as they are used to and enjoy the attention they get when those are taken care of.
I imagine the same would work on your dog with a little creativity on leash placement since you have a small dog.

For teeth, I just use a human toothbrush with pork flavored doggie enzyme toothpaste. I think it's less invasive feeling to the dog because my hand isn't in her mouth and she is so content to lick at the toothpaste, she doesn't even notice that I am brushing as she licks. After about a minute of scrubbing her teeth, I let her lick the toothbrush until she is content. She now sees toothbrushing time as a pork flavored toothbrush pop.
I've never had any trouble wiping my pups face or eyes and even though she isn't a big fan of getting her ears cleaned, she deals with it.
If your dog isn't very old, just keep forcing the issue with cleaning him. He'll get used to it eventually, but you just have to keep doing it. I would just work up to things he really, really hates. Starting tugging on his hair when you are caressing him, and always gives treats if he lets you pester him. Also, if you ever intend on clipping doggie's nais, you better start getting him used to that now, too.
If he is older, good luck. He may never really get used to being scrubbed.

My dogs used to be like that, everytime i do any of those things (clean face, brush teeth, cleaning ears) i have to do it slowly and with patience.
1) show your dog the utensil or med that you are going to give him/her so they can smell it and you can say that its okay and that he's a good boy.
2) then slowly get the item to the face and move it away, and pet, then do the it again and hold it for a long time and remove and say good boy.
3) brush the teeth, wipe face, put drops in after making your dog comfortable with it. Then afterwards give a treat.

huh? out of your questions im assuming youve in no way owned a canines till now. what do you propose by utilising "reducing" him? neutering? if so, you ought to get him neutered.... it is going to quiet down his dominance element slightly, and it will ward off many sorts of ailments and prerequisites, like some styles of maximum cancers - it is going to likely be a lot extra reasonably-priced interior the long-term to get him neutered now. all canines must be neutered in the event that they don't seem to be breeding for medical motives. secondly, why cant you only prepare him your self? of direction you may in no way placed a canines down only because of the fact he's nutrition aggressive. in case you dont understand a thank you to coach a canines, take him to an obendience college - they are going to prepare you the thank you to coach him effectively. do not tolerate nutrition aggression... you are the boss, not him. and ALL canines can study new tricks at ANY age. he must be bathed as quickly as a week ...... and trimmed as quickly as each and every 2 months (basic - some canines want extra or much less). in case you provide him some advantageous huge bones to chew on weekly (not fowl), you wont ought to comb his teeth as many times. you purely ought to feed him two times an afternoon - be careful of starting to be him fat. being fat for a canines is quite undesirable. .

I would suggest you get an experienced groomer to show you how to do this.
There are several techniques you can use. Chances are, your dog has not been desensitized to this, hence why he is giving you trouble when you want or need to do it.
