It's easy to laugh at aids,death,starvation,etc... until you are actually going through it. When you die, if you do not turn to Jesus before then, you will be sitting in an eternal incinerator driven by satan's deception and just a bit of your own ego and you will realize late (which in that case won't be better than never) That you made the most horrifying mistake you could ever make. But at least you will not be alone.

i believe in God and I don't feed his ego. Unless thanking him is feeding his ego which I could see that interpritation. It is healthy for me to reflect on how lucky I am and I do that through thanking God. Perhaps it isn't necessary. I do believe that actions are all that truly speak. Words are just words. This is such an interesting question.

What do you mean about feeding his ego. It can be translated into various things. First of all you shouldn't be feeling as though you are feeding GOD's ego.

He is the only true ego in the universe, the one true I AM that deserves it all. The problem with the human race is that everyone is trying to be that ego.

If you love and obey Him, He will benefit you a lot by rewarding you Heaven in return of your love for Him.
That is not ego feeding. God knows how great He is.
He doesn't to be told. People try to please God for their own benefit....that is to get into Heaven.

He gave you life, He shared His love. I think that is reason enough. But what its really called is being thankful and grateful.
