Talk to your vet about your dog's individual case. My vet actually recommended to me to feed my dog puppy food even as an adult because my dog tends to be a little bit anemic. Your vet would be your best bet at determining what kind of food is best for your pup. All pups are different, so there's not really one set in stone answer for all of them.

you should have her pretty much weand off puppy food by the time she reaches 6 months old. introduce adult food gradually until she reaches 11 months and by all means watch her weight if she has been spay. when a dog reached 9 months it should only be fed once a day unless you break up the feeding to twice a day to keep her from getting an enlarged stomach which will help in getting the animal fat.

Puppy foods shouldn't be fed to puppies at all, these foods should be saved for pregnant and lactating dogs.

Puppy foods cause rapid growth, rapid growth leads to future bone and joint problems.

Puppies should instead be fed an All Stages food, one good one is Canidae All Stages. All Stages food provides for a more desirable slower growth and thus less chance of bone and joint problems.

Puppies have no "special' nutrient requirements as dog food makers have led people to believe. The only difference between adult dog nutrition and puppy nutrition is that the puppies need more nutrients. The pups get these extra nutrients by eating more. So if you are feeding an All Stages food you will feed the pup more than you would an adult. As the puppy gets older and needs less nutrients, you will feed less.

Switch your dog over now.

Should be ok to start changing. Just make sure that you change his food gradually so as not to make him sick - i.e week 1 3/4 puppy food 1/4 adult, week 2 1/2 & 1/2, week 3 1/4 puppy food 3/4 adult and week 4 just adult food.

12-18 months is a standard time period for a Puppy to eat puppy food. They need the nutritional value the puppy food gives them for that time period. Just because a puppy turns a year old doesn't mean they should be taken off puppy food and fed adult food.
