Did you buy the animals for the nativity scene. You know, the half-evolved, freak things to surround the baby Darwin?

What is 'half-evolved'?

I intend to put a platypus, coelacanth, Archaeopteryx and a Velociraptor around mine.

Yes, I did, because everyone knows that Darwin was born in a manger. Calling them freaks has made the baby Darwin cry!

I'm not an atheist, but if I ever find a nativity set like that I would buy it just because. I mean talk about a conversation piece or a gift!

actually I bought animals to make a nativity scene from the "woodland critter christmas" south park episode.

enjoy!

EDIT: haysoos2: "half-evolved" would mean a theist, someone whose physical body has evolved to look like a homo sapien, but thier cranial capacity is still around the range of an australopithicine.

they can use basic tools and manipulate objects, and even engage in rudimentary speech, but thier reasoning and problem-solving abilities are not quite developed yet.

Check out this lovely picture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:CreationMuseum15.png ) of a diorama in the Creation Museum (http://arstechnica.com/articles/culture/ars-takes-a-field-trip-the-creation-museum.ars ) showing Eve sitting in a very sexy frock next to an over sized velociraptor.

I also love the photo of a parent hoisting his child onto a saddled tricertops (http://media.arstechnica.com/news.media/400/526893292_e95eb57c10.jpg ).

I for one did not crawl out of a warm mud puddle and my great grandpa did not have half of a tail. I chose the real nativity set with fully developed people and animals, and of course our Lord Christ in the manger.

The irony in this is you're celebrating the birth of a child, born of a married woman, impregnated by god (adultery? hmm?), and very few of your christian brethern actually follow his teachings. You know, judge not lest ye be judged, let he who is without sin cast the first stone, turn the other cheek, etc.

Of course, I'm not really suprised. You fit the stereotype well.

That's one of the dumbest questions I have read here. Witticism is too far high up for your reach, baby girl. Or should I say, half-evolved baby girl?

what exactly is half-evolved defined as, since evolution is a continuous process......maybe you should try learning a bit about reality instead of a book of fables designed to rob you of the ability to think as an individual......
