im on my third day away from my babies who are in intensive care. I have been told by a doctor i have food poisoning and cant risk the infection to them... i really miss them and it hurts that i can only watch them through some glass....

few questions really..

how long does it take food poisoning to clear?

can i do anything to speed up the process?

and

will it effect my babies me not being there to hold them for the past 3 days?

i can wave at them through some glass so they still see me, im just not allowed into the room to hold them. i really miss them and love them.

Been where you are in different circumstances. A preemie whom I could not hold till a week old...that was back in the day 30 yrs ago times sure have changed...
Remember it is better to be apart and not get your babies sick, I"m not sure but I think you are saying they are in intensive care as well? If so then it is of utmost importance that they stay free from any illness.
No you cannot speed up the process, sometimes in life you simply have to wait it out.
Sorry that you have to deal with this bump in your road of life but, remember after these very short few days you will have the rest of your lives to make up for the time you have missed holding them.
No worries they know who there momma is.
May the peace, hope, joy and love the season has to offer be with you and yours.

Bless you - it must be soo difficult at the mo. The best thing you can do is drink lots of water to flush your system through that should speed up your recovery. Food poisoning can take a few days to clear from your system but you are better for not going into the unit if the babies are under care as you wouldnt want to pass anything on that may cause them an issues. Think positive , keep your chin up and remember that these little sweeties are yours, be proud of what you have achieved and before you know it they will be in your arms. I wish you all the best hun, take care of yourself xxx

It may be possible to put a picture of you in their isolettes, so that even though you are unable to hold your little angels, you will still "be with them" 24/7. And, may give you the tiniest amount of comfort until you see the ugly food poisoning process through.

As I am barely entering the 3rd year of my 3rd decade in life, I have very little to offer you. However, when it comes down to words of encouragement, just know the love for your child is in its purest form. Don't stray from it and with a bit of patients, your child will once again in your arms.
If anything, say a short prayer. Through prayer, encouragement comes.. If you're not religious, say one anyways... It's a great method of reflection... and reflect upon what good is in your life at this very moment...
I hope u feel just as loved as you love your child... hope you are able to reunite with him soon...

are you speaking approximately your babies or your pets?.. sorry yet i cant tell and somebody above reported an animal. foodstuff poisoning varies yet once you're on antibiotics then something from 2-4 weeks yet you are able to desire to have the malicious program on your gadget for something as much as 7-9 months in spite of everything indicators have cleared up. so which you nonetheless ought to be particularly careful!!
