In his place, a middle-aged, obese, bearded Black man steps up and says in a deep voice, "Next.....?" She is shocked and disappointed. Then the dream is over.

The Racist issue is there. As to the basis of the dream, she is lonely, and is searching for someone to love, and be loved, and she is feeling rejected. The only people that she meets are not her type (obviously).
