It's certainly going on in Texas as well. You would not believe the number of private schools which have opened or expanded in the Dallas area within the past few years! Liberal education has failed the liberals yet they never recognize a failed program which THEY start.

The article quotes a lady who makes money selling HomeSchooling CDs saying she is getting allot of requests.

That doesn't mean that people are leaving the School system, it means that woman is making more money.

The cost of living is SO high in California, I can't imagine that a large amount of people could afford to live on a single parent income, so home schooling is not really an option.

Good for those parents! That's great. When I read about that bill passing I told my hubby and a few others that we would start seeing lots of people leaving the public school system as a result. It's nice to be right sometimes! lol

That is just one more good reason why I am a homeschooler.

They are over reaching. If they drive enough people out of the public schools then the people will vote in vouchers. Go Kalifornia.

I agree. That should not be taught in schools. Why can;t we just teach them history or math? Why do we fell necessary to teach children about homosexuality?

All social issues should be left out of Public Schools. Homosexuality, politics, religion, etc.

---Edit: I didn't see where in the article it said it was a student run program, but if it is, it should be OK. As long as it is a voluntary program, I would have no problem with it. I was under the assumption it was a school-wide program.

I am surprised that there are parents in California that actually care about their children. Most conservatives in California don't normally make waves.

How can a prohibition of discrimination possibly be the same than indoctrination for a gay lifestyle? A prohibition against discrimination also means that there should be no discrimiation against a christian lifestyle.

I guess there will be a lot more badly homeschooled kids running around in California if the parents can't even grasp simple logic.

Any "information" emanating from WorldNUT needs to be taken with a grain a salt the size of the planet Jupiter. Just a sleazy and bigoted outfit filled with mindless right-wingnuts.
