Oh yeah - more than once. I'm actually grateful for those times, since it forces me to reevaluate my position (we do tend to get a bit complacent at times) and "It's hard for someone who knows everything to learn anything."

I try not to debate at all, because once there starts to be a hint of anger in other people's voices, or if they are really fierce about arguing, I tend to get stressed, to not really hear what is being said, and to just kind of withdraw from the whole thing. I often cannot counter arguments on the spot because I am too flustered to think of a way, and I find submission is more effective in trying to shut them up....

Yes, but I also always went back and reexamined my position. If I was in error, I made the correction. If I figured out that I wasn't, I made my argument stronger so that I could counter. 2 Timothy 4:2-3.

It happens all the time. I'm a White nationalist, and my usual opponents are racial egalitarian leftists who will introduce into debate just about every sort of lie they can think of and back it up with...
1. Fake statistics.
2. Cherry-picked statistics.
3. Actual statistics to which they have made a deliberately improper analysis.
...or any combination of the above. It becomes my job to find the real data, analyze it correctly to determine their real meaning, and then identify the kind of deception that my leftist opponents are using on that particular occasion. Then I must organize my thinking and create a complete, accurate and elegant reply. That usually requires some time.

It did happen during my early days.I am more mature now.I never find or allow a situation to put me in such a condition that I wouldn't be in a position to counter that.I attack with points sufficient strength in each so that the other one finds it difficult to respond , least of all, counter attack me , in most cases.I am good in debates, by the way.

There are times I have had to change my position because I didn't fully think something through, or was only looking at an argument from my own perspective.
Its part of growing and becoming more educated.

Several times. In most cases, either I found an argument to counter it later, or I changed my mind.

Of course its happened. After all, no one is ALWAYS right. However, I've often been able to make up something that sounds like a good argument, even though I know its bs.
