♫~~∞§arah T∞©~~♫ BTW, yes, I have addressed similar questions to Christians, as my Native American ancestors were nearly wiped out by people claiming to be Christian.

Consiglieri... I agree completely about your last remark. I've noticed it many times, myself.

Well Sarah? I still don't see where you have answered the question. Instead you redirected the question to include jews, christians and others. I'm not asking a question about jews or christians right now. I am asking a question of moderate muslims.

Sarah... clear something up for me please. If it is not a religious issue, then why are muslims claiming it is? Sounds like denial by moderate muslims, to me.
What is it then? a cultural issue? Ok.. if so, then how does one (an outsider) distinguish the difference between the two when so much of what is done culturally is as a direct result of religious practice? How would one expect outsiders to understand this horrific act and why the moderates have not spoken out against it?

Thank you SouA. That is what I was looking for. So, as a tradition of other muslim cultures, do moderates speak out against it, and where?
Thank you very much.
