Unbelievers say that the idea of God came from man. So then it would be simple. But with the Trinity and the idea about how there is a 3-in-1 God isn't simple. And since it isn't simple, they --unbelievers -- don't believe because they can't grasp it. Yet if they could, then they would say that it was from man. So just wondering, what do you guys think? This is to both Christians and un-Christians alike.

yes, it isn't simple to grasp... actually i don't believe anyone can fully grasp it. which is awesome because i'd be worried if i worshipped a God that i could figure out.

perhaps atheists would say it was from man... the majority of them already do... but that is just because they either haven't bothered with it, or they bothered with it and it didn't suit them

While this may be a true statement to those that believe it. My question is "Who put the idea into their tiny minds in the first place?" They will say the man that came up with this was just plain smart. Really? Then why not get out of the sin filled world? Oh that's right history and the Word tells us Jesus did that! They Strain the Brain God gave them only to find out they aren't that smart in the first place.

You are a trinity too
body, mind and spirit. It isn't really hard to understand IF you believe you have a spirit.
The spirit of God 1) The Holy Spirit
The Body of God 2) Jesus became flesh (a physical body)
Almighty God 3) The Head,or Mind. Conscious thinking part that just as with us is the ruler over everything we think or do. The controller of our actions.
God is Holy an cannot look upon sin or touch a sinner without corrupting himself. The entire works against mankind by Satan was merely to try to torment God enough that he would
reach out and help, corrupting himself and giving Satan right to contend for the Throne. This was the sole purpose of Jesus Christ to be born and die for us. This gave God a avenue to touch and be a part of man again without corrupting Himself . This also put a end to Satan ever being able to contend for the throne . Because Satan who was ruler of earth thru Adams sin , lost his throne by killing Jesus a innocent man ( without sin). That is why Jesus proclaimed I saw Satan falling from heaven. Satan lost his right to be there. That is also why the bible says Satan is running around earth in a fitful rage. He knows he lost and he is stuck here until his judgment. Jesus who is now the Righteous judge who will judge the earth, Set the judgment day for the end of time. This action closed the door to heaven to Satan being able to go there accusing people all the time , keeping him earth bound completely barred from Heaven.

I'm not sure I follow you that just because the idea of a three-in-one god isn't simple it must therefore justify your god's existence. There are lots of examples of three-in-one gods outside of Christianity, most notably the three-in-one goddesses of many religions that represent the three stages of womanhood - maiden-mother-crone. So, to somehow assert that because the idea of the trinity isn't simple must mean that Christians didn't make up their god doesn't follow logically for me.

You're not the only religion that believes in a three-in-one god, by the way, just one of them that has the idea of divinity completely unbalances with only the male aspect of the Divine. We also have a three-in-one god - the Godhead, the Goddess and the God. And many people can't wrap their mind around that. By your reasoning you've validated Wicca as well as Christianity. Thanks for that!

God is love and therefore loves to express His love. The best way to do this is through relationships. God has a perfect relationship with Himself, which also consists of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He didn't NEED to create the Trinity, but He wanted to for the purpose of Love. We were separated from having a relationship with Him through our sin. So Jesus (also God) condescended to come to Earth in human form. Jesus dying for our sins restored to us the ability to have a relationship with God. Sin is no longer a barrier. So when we pray to God, we pray to Jesus and vice versa. The Holy Spirit is there to assist us in having that relationship. It's all about love, therefore, it's all about God. Now you can ask where was God if he was Jesus, but we have little minds compared to God. He is everywhere all the time, and happened also to be Jesus. How is this possible? Who knows? But it did happen. You can't get a non-believer to understand this. You just invite them to church and say, "Come and see." Let God do the rest. Still, I'm no pastor. I'd ask them. But I think I got it right. (I asked the same question.)

When you start a religion based upon a false premise, you are bound to be damned either way.
The idea of god is JUST THAT - an idea. Nothing more. Just an idea, a concept, a notion in the mind of mankind. The idea got confused and mixed up and hard to explain and understand when people started to think that this "Idea" had some counterpart in reality. It DOESN'T, and therein lies the problem.
Stop thinking of god as anything more than an idea, and everything will start to become clear and simple.

...For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6

Unbelievers, read The Holy Bible-KJV, and pray for discernment about His Word, and then will it all become real to you. Otherwise, you will continue to be lost. I'm praying for those who believe and those who don't believe.

Proverbs is a good place to begin for the beginning of knowledge.
