i have a second job interview today, with a company, and the company wants me to bring 3 referances. do you think im on pace for getting this job, that i really need bad?

If they're asking for references, that's a good sign. If today goes well, and your references check out, you've got a good chance to get the job.

You have a good chance. You may want to ask, as one of your questions, how many other candidates were given second interviews. That way - you'll know if you have competition.

2nd interviews are routine. They have narrowed down the choices, but there are still other options for them out there. You are not a guarantee to get hired. You are on track, but still dress to impress

Sure, so long as your references check out. Be sure to ask each reference before putting them down, though.
