Actually, yes. I'm sorry if that offends you, it's not meant to, but we are taught to do everything to glorify God. Work hard, do right, don't be insensitive or off-color, play fair. Admittedly, Christian decorating ideas can come across as well....cheesy, to put it kindly?

I've been within two denominations of Christianity my entire life. Neither of those churches ever told us how to decorate our homes and offices (or how to wrap presents, etc.).
We went to church on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, went to Sunday School and Confirmation Class, when younger...no, they never told us the Christian way to decorate. They also never told us what our Halloween costumes could be, either...it was a holiday of fun.
I think it's more the new-age and non-denominational Christian churches doing this...much more so than the organized branches of Christianity (Lutheran, Episcopalian, Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist etc.).

Yes, there is. That doesn't mean you have to follow it.
If a Christian has an idea then it becomes a Christian activity. Now advertising by using the guise of Christianity is a problem. As far as I know, Jesus never came to anyone and told them how to paint their bedroom.
Beware of those who call themselves christian.

There is a “Christian” business that supplies practically every aspect imaginable from socks to panty hoses with its “brand.” Or at least the marketing effort is there and it is there for good rea$on: it is “good” business.
Funny thing is, for a religion whose sacred text frowns upon materialism and idols, you’d think that “Christian jewelry” for example would be incompatible with their beliefs.
Do a google search for Christian jewelry and you’ll get tons of choices for that “spiritual” vanity—which is quite ok with most so called Christians.
Money money money…..

Since Christmas is a pagan holiday, there can be no "Christian" way of celebrating it. There is no scripture to support such a celebration; so your decorations can reflect your own impressions of "Christmas."

My wtf present was a purse that my grandmother got me. Now I love purses, but the one she got me was so huge (slightly bigger than a suitcase) and it was so......flamboyant. I know I was never going to really use it, I know I wouldn't be able to use it in school (some stupid rule in school). I did put on my happy smile and try to be grateful. My omg gift was the laptop I got for Christmas. My reaction was more like : Omg are you serious? *squeals*. I love that laptop, it's my baby.
