We demand proof, they rely on faith.
We believe in what we can see, hear, touch etc, they believe in what some guy told them.
We have logic on our side, they.... don't.
So based on that, who would you say is living in the real world and who is fooling themselves?

Who is more fanatically insane
Let's see, who is putting their views into government?
Who is passing out brochures and knocking on doors in the morning?
Who has "belief institutions" on every corner street in most United States cities?
Who is holding a book and ranting on a street corner?
Who is putting their views into a science class and wanting every school to follow suit?
Let's be honest. I don't talk about my views as an atheist, save for Y!A.
"Neither has a shred of proof, yet anyone that doesn’t believe in their narrow-minded views is wrong."
Actually, if theism has no evidence, then atheism, a lack of belief in gods, is the natural default. And did I say that people that don't hold my particular view are wrong?
I have a strong respect for Agnostics. Consider Albert Einstein and Carl Sagan.
P.S. Deus X Machina: What the hell is a militant atheist? Sounds like a smear campaign. Since when did atheists in this country become militant?

It makes no difference if one is a christian, atheist, jew, or anything else, what is insane is an expectation that others believe what you believe, when there is no absolute proof of anything.
Someone above said that atheists demand proof. If that means you expect me to prove what I believe to you, that makes you insane, because I don't give a rip whether you believe what I do or not, and am perfectly willing to live next door to someone without a shred of curiosity about their religious beliefs. I could care less if they know mine. I know where to go to meet people that believe like I do, so when I want to talk religion, I go there. Outside of that, if you ask, I'll answer, but you're gonna get really old waiting on me to try to persuade or prove anything to anyone.
On religious matters, the insane people are those that expect or demand others think like themselves.

People who come here to rant and rave and ridicule and name call feel empowered...it matters not whether they are Christians or atheists. They really aren't trying to clarify anything, and they aren't interested in debate. It certainly isn't philosphical. They don't promote understanding; it's just a bunch of chest thumping and that ole " My daddy is bigger than your daddy" crap still left over from the playground. I have never learned anything from either side in this category except to see how petty some people can really be and how low they can go. There are some belly crawlers in R&S... on both sides.

I'm going to have to go with the hard core Christians as fanatically insane. They have a better infrastructure. Atheists tend to be loners, even in a group of fellow atheists because it's a transitional state between not swallowing the rubbish of Walt Disney religion and higher consciousness.
further down, see Liz67 answer. does any of that sound rational to you? Liz...take a pill!

I'm a Christian, but I've never heard of an atheist using his/her system as an excuse to inflict evil. A point for their side.
Also, atheists make their case on facts, while extremist pseudoChristians not only rely on faith, but their exclusive interpretation (or misinterpretation) of scripture. Another point for the atheists.
Most atheists I know, one can hold an intelligent conversation with. Wilth extermist Christians, they are always looking for ways to pass judgments - even on other Christians! Yet another point for atheists.
Most atheists are at least willing to admit they could be wrong, and only state that there is currently no evidence that they are wrong. Fourth point for them.
And lastly, while many atheists beleive all Christians are either misguided or at worst deluded, they do not call us evil, they do not use fear tactics to scare people into believing as they do, and they do not seek to legislate thier agenda upon the rest of us.
So that's a shuy-out in favor of atheists... against hard-core Christians. Replay against decent and thinking Christians, and we'd draw a different picture.

properly.....that's a no techniques er One distinction i'm able to easily spot is the wording of names favourite and complicated center they are the two distinctive, yet Christian remains the comparable! Lol purely PULLING YOUR LEG MATE short answer, Ones greater laid back then the different! meaning, no longer basic center christians actually do and take the observe(Bible) and exhibit it in the way they stay and act, Hardcore preaching to others to the factor that they are somewhat scaring people removed from faith and wearing outfits that they sense won't carry lustful techniques onto adult males(this is purely some hardcore christians). favourite Christians take the observe, and stay their lives on immediately's hugely changing city. no longer gloating or preaching the observe down peoples throats yet, i like to think of they prepare it by using strikes of their character. They know that faith does no longer advise Knocking on doorways and understanding each observe of the Bible, yet they know what's sweet from incorrect and with the holy trinity permit God take thewheel and save issues rolling. lots Love

Well the reason they don't is because this country coddles the few to the detriment of the many...in ways like the thing with the pledge. That's the way it is with all this politcally correct junk.

Reguardless if they will die pushing eachother off the soap box, people find enjoyment and enlightenment from talking to people with DIFFERENT views. Why do I want a debate with people who already agree with me. How will I develop and strengthen them if nothing challenges it.

I think they won't shut up because they have something called freedom of speech and if it really bothers you then why are you reading it? You are too narrow minded and immature to be on a forum like this. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
