I know a polish guy who received a £2000 grant to buy a car to get him to work. I have worked all my life in u.k.and dont qualify for anything like this. And why do they get family allowance paid to their wives who are still living in their own country. Does anyone think rules like these are causing resentment against these people.

Not only cars dude if what you say is true on that score - I've seen them come out of Benefits Agancy offices with vouchers for mobile phones and all sorts.

This government are taking the p*ss big time with these bloody immigrants and then they have the cheek to turn round to OUR OWN COUNTRYMEN and tell them they can't get any help when injured or forcing those that really need Incap Benefit to go back to work (not talking about the scroungers - but the gen people).

To top it all the bloke behind this outrage Peter Hain - ADMITS he took some dodgy money from backers - CROOK - how can he be taken seriously.

PEOPLE - ask your local MP where the tax you pay goes in relation to these immigrants - you will NOT receive a proper answer - they will hide it from you

Its about time this government looked after there own people, my daughter cannot get a house shes 25 and been told she will have to wait 10 years, yet anybody coming in to the country gets a house and now so its seems a grant for a car, whats this country coming to, everyone gets looked after except there own.

Having read all the answers above my opinion is that we need to get rid of the current government. I doubt if a single British MP has the guts to stand up and say that the current immigration policy is unfair. They are all too busy being 'faithful' to their party.
Who cares about the country. When it all falls apart they will all blame it on a government department as was done for the loss of Data disks.

Yeah give them a grant for a car. We give them money for evertything else.
Why stop at a car? Give em cash to put their kids into private school (as there is now too much pressure on state schools)
cash for Bupa (Take the burden off the NHS)
Cash to buy a house (takes the pressure off council house lists)

I'd say British Government is stupid with stupid laws. Brits are treated worst in Central Europe yet their citizens are enjoying utmost privileges in UK. Does these EU rules dont apply to Brits living in Czech or Slovakia or Poland??? I lived in CZ for a year while my family stayed back home I was not given a single penny in TAXES refund & they told me no TAX refunds unless I register my children to live in CZ with me.

EU must have double standards.

EU migrant workers can apply for grants or loans for work vehicles, but apparently British citizens can too, the same eligibility conditions apply. They're for everyone working in rural areas where there's no public transport. I hadn't heard of this but it might be worth trying to find out more about it before we all jump to conclusions:

Does seem a little unfair. I'm currently stuck in a little village with no public transport and very few jobs. i can't afford a car to get to where the work is. So where is my money?

i think that the grant for a car seems a bit out of order, but i have no problem whatsoever with someone coming to the uk for a better life, if they intend to work and pay taxes. the more the merrier. there are plenty of so called 'native' brits who are lazy, workshy sponging wasters. i know who i'd rather have for a neighbour!!!

remember, we are simply reaping what we have sown. immigration is the price of empire - and we got a bargain, this country is built on immigration, and i see no reason to change that now.

listen you bunch of bigoted racists this applies to all. so if you were in poland you would have the same rights ie family allowance paid by the polish government to your families back in britain. god i wish they would close this site so they could get rid of idiots like you. i am so glad I no longer live in england if this is the type of people who live there. If you want to complain about something make it a real issue not the one about I met a guy in a pub and he told me about this foreign bloke who gets ............. there are so many problems in britain in regards to poverty and education, health etc and you seem to feel it is everybodys fault but yours, wake up and smell the coffee. we have asian doctors, nurses. go to macdonalds and who is serving you, at the end of the day if all those sponging foreigners left tomorrow the uk would be in more shite that it already is but hey you can all sit round your bnp bonfires and reminisce how great you once were.
