Take it from an Arkansan.

If Huckabee wins... bail on this country. At that point, the USA would be a lost cause.

I actually have a lot of respect for his fortitude. When Governor Jim Guy Tucker refused to step down, Huckabee got on TV, demanded Tucker step down within (if I remember right) 24 hours, and warned him there would be consequences if Tucker did not.

Considering what was going on at the time, and Tucker's involvement in Good Ol' Boy politics, that took some serious testicular brass.

I really don't want that guy in power.

I'm an atheist and I'll be the first to admit that he is an eloquent speaker. But let's be honest: His support is coming from a minority of Protestant Christians who believe that our government should be based on their faith.

I don't buy into the theological crap. Huckabee's willingness to insert religion into his political platform is nauseating for the rest of us who wish to live free from Protestant, Baptist, and Evangelical rules.

Not to be melodramatic, but if he gets elected on religion then I will certainly travel to a study abroad program in Europe, particularly Great Britain. I've been planning such a trip for my own enjoyment and education, but my plans will become even more solid if Americans dispense with political debate in exchange for the candidate who has their particular religion.

A nice guy does not equal a good politician. And Christianity does not equal a secular government.

It won't matter, because by then Hell will have frozen over and the rapture will have come and passed. That's the only way Huckabee could ever win.

I hope that it never happens if it does? Then it will be the start of a Theocracy government.
