And why would the disciples risk their lives daily and go through what they went through if they did not see Jesus ressurected

Rashad - it does not make 2 Gods, they are 3 aspects of the same one God.

Father, son and holy spirit does not mean that God is divided. Let me ask you this - is ice water, is water water, is steam water - then likewise all are different aspects of God.

Of course Jesus died on the cross along with thousands of other Jews who had crossed the Romans in one sense or another. The Romans left them hanging there after they'd died as a further offense to the Jews who buried their dead within 24 hours.
The belief that God would become human is the ultimate heresy!

The Romans crucified hundreds, maybe thousands of people - who knows whether they asked God to forgive their persecutors or not.........
loads of people are/were/ always have been willing to risk their own lives even unto death for many a cause or belief...
these are not proofs that Jesus was God or that Jesus rose from the dead
One thing about the sories of Jesus that people elect to forget is that they weren't written down until at least 20 years after they happened - Stories change over time - word of mouth can be like Chinese whispers - the stories grow and change...
Look at any mythicaal figures - they are based on real people but the things attributed to many of them are exagerations of some event that happened.....
It's interesting that the Old Testament (Proverbs 13 or 14) even mentions the propensity of people to elevate to the status of a god a person who only yesterday was thought of as a man........
You should look up Euhemerism and Snorri Sturluson for more on this - it's very interesting to view Christianity in this way

If we were to look at anything else besides religion in a rational sense, we first would look at the term vested self interest. As an example, if you invest in stocks--you don't necessarily believe the blurbs the company officers put out about the company's financial health-they have a vested self interest in continued investment in their company--you believe what the independent auditors of the company write in the annual report.
In this new religion, those that were allied with this man Jesus would have been figures of power. Therefore, if he were just a man and died--it would have been in the best interest of those gospel writers to ascribe miracles such as the ressurection to him. Our leader has gone to heaven and we are the ones he left in charge--logical solution to the problem of what to do with a dead leader. Therefore the writings of those that have potential vested self interest must be viewed with some reservations.
This is not to say that these writings are true or false--simply that there was a vested self interest in writing the way they did.
Any good newpaperman, detective, archeologist etc when faced with information that could for a variety of reasons be considered suspect-will look for indepenent confirmation.
For example--when Jesus died it is written that the curtian to the inner sanctum of the temple was rent in two. The Jewish people have always been great record keepers with religion. There are surviving writings from that era and before--yet there is no mention of the curtian being rent in any of the Jewish historical documents. The bible says the ground shook and stones moved--again there is no credible evidence of any earthquake shaking the Jerusalem area in the middle to latter part of the first century. If the Empire State building suddenly disappeared, it is reasonable that such a notable action would be found in records thousands of years from now. Yet the dead arising from their graves as the gospels tell us--something this incredible--is noted NOWHERE. This type of a highly unusal event should have been recorded even in Rome--would make sense that Roman garrisons in Jerusalem would have sent word to Rome that the dead had risen--but nothing there. The sky darkened--there were no eclipse in the middle east during that period. In short--just with the story of the crucifixition there is no historical independant verification-the only verification one has is the words of those whose own self interest would be served by the story told as it was.

There were thousands of people crucified by the Romans .
If Jesus was an almighty god ( able to do anything ) , he would have been able to not feel a thing . He could have been able to put on a nice show without any actual injury or pain . What't the big deal of dieing if you know that you'll come back to life in three days ?
Why did he talk to his father ? The father , he , and the ghost are all the same guy . Was he talking to himself ?

It really does not matter who was on the cross! Wow theres a statement! Why? Because if (its a big "If" mind) Jesus was the Son of God, or was God, and that God is from eternity to eternity (Bible quote) then God cannot be born & God cannot die, which means that no God sacrificed anything (Pause & think about this for a moment), so whoever it was on the cross, they cannot have been God otherwise they could not have died and coulkd not have sacrificed anything.
There are accounts of various Jesus's in the Bible, it was a really common name.
Its worth remembering, that at no time whatsoever, was Jesus ever a Christian, he was always a Jew, he never renounced his Jewish faith, so, if anyone really wanted to follow Jesus, they should immediately go out & become a Jew, not a Christian!

Peace!
I don't know which Submitter(Muslim) states that it was not Jesus who was crucified on the cross but I can reproduce the Verse in the Quran that confirms it was him, here..
Crucifying "the Body" of Jesus*
Chapter 4
Verse 157
"And for claiming that they killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of GOD. In fact, they never killed him, they never crucified him - they were made to think that they did. All factions who are disputing in this matter are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For certain, they never killed him."
So we see that Jesus, the real person, the soul, was raised in the same manner as in the death of any righteous person. Subsequently, his enemies arrested, tortured, and crucified his living, but empty, body. Also not how we see that he is referred to as Son Of Mary. This is because God knew that people were going to start calling him Son Of God. How can there be two god's? Are you a monotheist or not. If there is a Farther God and a Son God that makes TWO god's.

An 85 yrs old scholar of Islam who I believe is highly learned man, thinks he was one of the disciples of Jesus who betrayed Jesus and had Jesus arrested for the money Jewish Rabbis paid him to do the dirty job. So God made him look like Jesus and soldiers arrested him instead of Jesus. He then was crucified. God had His Angels pick Jesus through the ceiling of room where he was hiding minutes before Roman soldiers came and found there his replacement looked like Jesus.
Jesus may have been hiding some where under the protection of Angels and appeard to his disciples three days later to bid farewell to them. If Jesus ate with them means he didn't die. Then where did he disappear. Angels of God took Jesus to Heaven. Since he didn't die on earth, God will send him again when needed most to kill Anti-Christ and establish Islam through out this world. This is what God says in Quran.

Most Muslims do believe that Jesus lived and died as told, but do not believe he was the Son of God.
We, Christians must remember that thousands upon thousands of people, mostly men, were crucified on crosses.
It is the teachings of Jesus, not how and why he died that makes us Christians. But still we believe he died for our sins and was sent to earth for that purpose, by God.
Personally, I think Muslims worship the same God as Christians. As do Jews. Only the Jesus story is in dispute with them. God Bless.

It happened 2000 years ago. Nobody exactly can come out with proof if he was Jesus or somebody else. The only reference and person we have is the last Prophet Mohammad that was when someone asked him the same question and he replied "God is great and that was not Jesus".

That's kind of a weak proof. He did what he did, assuming all that is true, which is an assumption and never a good thing when you're trying to prove something. Look at all Nelson Mandela went through and survived and stayed true to his calling. Rabbi Akiva was flayed alive and still managed to recite "Hear O Israel, the Lord is our god, the Lord is One." Then there are hundreds of saints who died horrible deaths for their faith and stayed true. As a Christian, aren't you supposed to believe based on no proof? It seems like trying to prove that Jesus was the son of God would then be sacrilegious.
