Depends on which way you walk.

The area North and West of the hotel is a nice safe neighborhood. South of the airport is El Segundo and the beach cities which are safe and great to visit.

East of the airport is Inglewood. You do not want to walk around Inglewood.

The Renissance Hotel itself is on Century Blvd and Airport Blvd.and that is mostly in an industrial / hotel area and not much to see or do. (Except go back to the airport.) However it is a wonderful hotel.

So enjoy your stay and if you are going to go jogging, just don't go east.

As Keithsushi pronounced, each of those (sea coast/favourite/Disney) are particularly far aside. this is the character of the la section. With a 2YO and 4YO, i've got faith you are able to desire to have the main suitable time at anyplace with a great pool. because of the fact the father of a 5YO, any day with time spent on the pool is a hey. All issues seen, i might stay in Anaheim on the factor of Disneyland. you are able to desire to have staggering get admission to to the freeways, eating places, and the Disneyland hotel. The lodges on the factor of Disneyland somewhat have a view of the fireworks that ensue on weekends (each evening throughout summer season and holiday sessions). when you consider that there are a lot of lodges in the section, the charges are particularly aggressive. you are able to desire to stay on the sea coast, yet you will somewhat pay lots greater. as much as i like Huntington sea coast, i would not stay there because of the fact it takes 20-half-hour just to get to a constrained-get admission to highway. in case you will stay on the sea coast, Santa Monica is probably your maximum suitable wager. in case you have an pastime specially lodges, purely positioned up yet another question and that i would be satisfied to furnish some advice on those to boot.

Yes. I work at LAX and that area is mostly commercial. Car rental places, hotels and airline stuff. It is a nice area. And the Renaissance is a very upscale hotel. Enjoy your stay.

not the best part of town. It is about a 10 minute drive north west to Marina del Rey, which is one of the nicer parts of LA.
