well i have a question....when i turn on my computer. it start to load windows and then it shows the blue screen quickly and restart the comp...and it only happen with the SATA drives...i tried the old ones and it worked...then i took other SATA hard drive and it didnt work (same prob.) i tried to connect it to another SATA port...but still the same problem when i insert the windows CD and try to format the comp. it says that it cant find any hard disks...so...well i thought maybe something wrong with the Motherboard but its not that cuz the old hard disk i mean the one with the IDE connector...still work...so does any one have any ideas on how to fix it? any thing will be helpfull...thx =)

it could be something with the motherboard in the SATA section.

While you Install XP, There is an option to install SCSI driver..at the time press F6 and insert the SATA Hard disk driver in the floppy. Install the right driver and everything will be fine.

If memory has leakage, there is a possibility of Blue screen.

You need to enter the BIOS and set the "Hard disk boot priority" so that your system looks at the sata controllers first. You would then be able to format and or install to the sata drives.
