I have an Acer laptop and normally when I insert my xD pix card, it loads the pictures automatically. Last night when I put it in, it did nothing and I can't get my pix up? Anyone have suggestions? Thanks!

You can find them through windows explorer, the card should show up as something like F:removable drive, just drag and drop them into a folder on the C: drive and then open them with your photo edit program. If you can't find it in windows explorer you may have lost the driver for the card reader.

Off hand I think it may be dirty and need cleaned. Look at your xD card and you should see the brass connectors? Are they nice and Gold looking or dull? Hold the card by the edges and take a pencil with a rubber eraser. Gently erase the tarnish from the brass and blow/wipe away the residue.

Can you still view the pics if you go to the drive itself via My Computer? It will be your E or F drive or something around that area.

If you can, it's a case of changing the setting for auto-run on insertion. If you can't, your reader is no longer working.
