You know, those people who tell others how much God loves them and that they are going to be tortured eternally in hell, all in one sentence?

Just so you all know, I never give thumbs down, so it isn't me! Even if I don't agree with an answer, I realize they have a right to their opinion.

The Holy Spirit works in so many ways but we as Christians need to be aware that we should study the scriptures so we will show ourselves approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the Word of Truth. We should get the answers from His Word & if we don't know then we should say I will get back to you on that(a point I need to take to heart alot of time as well) there are things like the Strong's Concordance to help understand more things about the Bible, which is such a good thing, also not just reading in say the KJV only but may NASB or NIV or a Parallel Bible to get a better understanding it makes much more sense but also faith cometh by hearing & hearing by the Word of God. Hell should be in its own context like Jesus said there will be wailing & nashing of teeth He didn't put it in the same sentence as when we all get to Heaven. No wonder alot of people are searching for the Truth & can't find because probably all of us @ times say something we regret after the fact(God uses everything for His will to His Glory), people should flock to us when we show His deep love for all the people but even when He came to earth His own received Him not. that's the way people are they will either receive Him or reject Him. Who knows how God works even thru those who bring judgement on others some how some 1 will come to know Him.

I will always feel pitted against Kristjans because there is no way to peacefully coexist with a different religion (and resulting culture) that feels because I do not believe what they believe I am illegitimate. Hide behind the curtain of moderacy but the fact is you remain in a religion that believes my soul is worth nothing unless it is enslaved to God.
I don't just feel this way about Christianity, I feel it also about Islam. I think Christianity and Islam deserve each other.

I have learned more in the months I have been on here about what I don't want to be as a Christian than I could have learned from any preacher, simply because of the wicked things posted under the banner of Christianity. In answer to your question, yes. Ones who post such things are not walking in the fullness of the light. I am still learning.

Yes. What I'm surprised about is that how Christians now define others Christians.
As if I'm less of a Christian, if I dont believe or express my belief in the exact same way as them.
Seen a few of your answers and that's the energy I picked up on. Cant help but to feel that something gets lost in translation
when we read the Bible full of our own egos.

Yes, I do, and try not to be one of those people, though I fall short sometimes. The New Testament says to speak the truth in love, always being ready to give an answer in all gentleness. You can deliver hard truths without acting like you are relishing the idea of someone's suffering. I see very little love or gentleness in some of the responses in this forum.

Yes.....it has nothing to do with christians at all but it's just about the person or the people itself. Like the other religions in the whole world or politics, it's always about the person or the people who sometimes misinterpret what has happened and sometimes can cause conflict, even within the community itself.

I know I tend to lump you all in one category. I also know that is wrong but after participating here for a while, it is hard to sometimes see past the biblical bigotry and hate.

Yes, mg - anti AM is exactly the kind of Christian that gives you all a bad name.

Yes.

While hell is a necessary part of God's plan of salvation, Jesus NEVER preaced it is such a condemming attitude as I have seen here.

He preached the way to AVOID hell. If Believers really want their message, they would follow Christ's example of preaching with love-NOT comdemnation.

I am NOT saying that EVERY Believer here on R&S is that way. But it saddens me, that some here do. That is not how Jesus preached, & it is not how I will EVER preach either!

Yes, of course I do, but I also think that there are members in every group that give the rest of the group a bad name. For example, Extremist Muslims.

Definitely! But there's a disclaimer - what kind of "Christian"?
Nominal? This person at best has "notions" of what it is to be a "Christian", but in reality he's not a Christian; he's more likely a "moral ethicist" type - very judgmental and hypocritical.
As in everything, there is the "one and only true one" and "everything else is a copy".
