you are right sister, your faith will be tried as though by fire, and some of what we go through ,we bring upon our self, but the trial of your faith being much more precious than gold will come out unspotted. some people think if they get a flat tire that the devil give it to them or maybe it was God, but the fact is if you had wires sticking out in the tire ,it was worn out, should have changed it, a drunk falls down and breaks a bone and we say he was sinning ,, and if we fall down and break a bone, we say the devil done it,, the bible says it rains on the just and the unjust, God does not change ever detail of our life so we go through life untouched, trails worketh all good for us , faith comes by hearing, tribulation worketh patience, and pureness through Christ comes by being by his side and doing what He tells us to, even if it sometimes causes us pain and people not to like us,,,keep up the good work. love and prayers

There are a couple of sayings that go around like "God gives you a test and turns it into a testimony." Or "God takes your mess and turns it into a message for others."

Hebrews 11:32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.

35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. 37 They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.

39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. 40 God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

Yes God does. And when we come through the testing, we can be even a greater witness for him.

God does not test us. He does, however, chastise us and anneal us in preparation for our journey through this life.

No. There is no reason to believe that god even exists, let alone does anything.
