I found it amusing-although I'm glad I'm not a member of his club!

I visit Oz regularly, and never cease to be amazed at the 'relaxed' attitude to this habit!

Aren't farting contests an age old tradition in Aus?
My son ended up with a bad burn to the nether region after setting his fart on fire with a lighter.
Poor guy probably just eats too many baked beans, but at his age, he's entitled to fart where ever and eat what ever. Maybe they should issue the other members with ear plugs.

I doubt it very much, been to Australia twice this year and have never come across a more relaxed and chilled out set of people in my life, they just fart with ease and no one batters an eyelid.

Seems to me the poor old fella needs to stop eating the baked beans.

I don't think he'd be banned from attending the club here, but then again, some idiot has banned some Santas from saying Ho! Ho! Ho! so who knows what would happen.

In think is rude to do it in public - go to a bathroom or go see a doctor... if he can't hold it until get outside or far away from people, then he got a problem and he should see a doc.

I find Australia a very friendly and open country. So not sure if it would happen there. If I was a member and after several times I will ask him to leave the club...

I can't see that it's a problem. No-one should be penalised for farting anywhere. In Australia, very few people would care and he certainly wouldn't be banned from a club for doing it. At 70 you should be able to fart in public with impunity.

All they need to do is get him a seat with an activated charcoal cushion.
(My Missus reckons we should have an activated charcoal duvet due to my nocturnal conversation).
