First not "athiest" or Atheist. I find the majority of Atheists though are very clear-minded and rather intelligent human beings. They seem very happy with life as well. I have finally deciphered the other part of your question and would say that the reason that there are so many Atheists here answering on R&S would probably be a split between two reasons. Reason A would be that it is fun to get fundie's like yourself all riled up. Reason B would be that most of them have studied the Bible or other Religious books extensively and came to the conclusion that there are too many contradicting parts and no proof. Once one stops feeling the need to have a scapegoat for everything they do and once one no longer requires the promise of some "eternal life" after death to ease their fears of dying. They tend to be able to look objectively at something. At which point they weigh the solid facts that have proof to the unsubstantiated "facts" that have no proof other than one book that may or may not be fiction.

They are probably unhappy and confused because the are not sure what athiest are and what the singular form of the word is. They may also be confused because, my dear, your added details really are unintelligable. (I'm not trying to flame you - I can't type either - but you may wish to try again because I honestly don't know what you're trying to say.

Atheists, however, do not come across as unhappy or confused. They are strong minded, brave and confident, in general. I like most of them.

No, I think you are seeing things.
I tend to see that Christians are far more confused than Atheists.

Once apon a time...
I asked the question "Who invented God?"
Heres the answer I got from christians: "God has always been there"
I mean come one, can't you people find something to back up your sh*t?

I'm unhappy. I have an inventory mess because I'm dealing with idiots and people who didn't do their damn jobs. The office butch is blaring her teeny-bopper crud music AGAIN. I'm 3 days from being unemployed and health insurance-less.

I'm confused as to why every other department but MINE is getting the week off with pay.

As for being unhappy and confused about being an atheist, nope.

I have two wonderful boys, a beautiful wife, and a nice job. Why do you think I would be unhappy? The only thing that is confusing is your question.

Interesting opinion, I don't happen to share it. What I see is perfectly happy, normal people answering questions on religion. Since a decent number of atheists were either raised in christianity or have other exposure to it they are usually well versed in the religion.

I have been an atheist for years. I can assure you that I am neither unhappy nor confused. Indeed, I am less confused than any theist, because I have objective evidence for every single thing that I believe. (For the obvious reason that if I had no such evidence, I would not believe it.)

Not especially. You did mean atheists, didn't you?

That's not to claim we're all happy bunnies with no problems.
We're human too, and time and chance happen to us all.
(Ecclesiastes 9:11)

I invite you and "A True Christian" to contact me, if you think you can help alleviate my "confused state"
But do note that I used to teach bible study and evangelism.
I'm not unfamiliar with philosophy, theology, and the bible.

Sure. There are people of all philosophies and beliefs that are unhappy and confused. But I wouldn't restrict it to atheists.
