You are right. You cannot find any logic in religion’s claims. For them god is supreme and the human beings who in fact created that very imaginary supreme power are all slaves and substandard to give any judgment on morality. Our so-called religious leaders just to remain in power create this situation. Fairy-tales about the supernatural are not necessary to give meaning or purpose to life. Instead of seeking a ticket to Heaven by being an obedient slave on Earth, we can gain meaning by taking a positive role in history, seeking to make this Earth a better place.

Because God is of a spiritual nature whereas man is carnal. Men cannot understand spiritual things if they are in their natural state. They must have the spirit of God given to them in order to understand anything of a spiritual nature.
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
1 Cor. 2: 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Men can either judge God in their own natural state of understanding (as you are doing) or they can have faith to trust in his words even if they don't understand them. Those who truly have the desire to seek rather than judge will eventually receive a portion of his spirit (the Holy Ghost) who will bear witness or testify the truth to their hearts. If you don't have pure intentions in your heart, you'll receive no answer.

whoever Sam Harris is , he didnt convince me. yet I grant this to every person: what's the evaluate attempting to cajole one area or the different appropriate to the existence or non-existence of an all useful, all understanding diety frequently pronounced as God? there is not any longer something sensible to be gained by using doing this. you have faith what you like and that i visit do an identical. i've got faith in God yet wager what? I dont provide a rat's *** in case you do or no longer. there is too lots happening in the worldwide to combat, argue and often honestly kill for our ideals. in case you have faith-superb, if no longer thats ok too. i visit cajole no one that God exists and no one will convince me that He does no longer exist. I even have pronounced it in the previous--if we believers are innovations-blowing then the non believers will locate out. If the non believers are innovations-blowing then we can't in any respect recognize. If there is not any longer something previous demise then how ought to that be proved ? if we believers are innovations-blowing then i'm confident the LOrd will faster or later grant firsthand residing evidence. until that day only attempt to be somewhat nicer to a minimum of one yet another and get on with the corporation of residing by using what you carry to be only and real interior your self.

Religion doesn't follow logic. If anything is contradictory, it will fall back to a passage in the Bible that overrides all arguments.
Conveniently, people use the book of contradictions to carry out their agendas and still be on a path of "truth".

Human standards of morality?????
I want some human standards of morality, I have never ever seen any?!?!?!
Well, except for those people whose standards say it is ok to murder and things of that nature.
I wouldn't judge anyone by those standards though.
My standards of morality, that I try to live by, are GOD'S STANDARDS OF MORALITY.
And I judge God by those, or measure him, and he never comes up short.

We claim it because that is what we are taught in the Bible. Romans 9:20 "On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?"

Because He is so good it cannot be imaginable to humans. Our "good" does not even come close to describing the perfection of God.

We do not know the whole plan or big picture.
God has a plan of salvation for all, whomsoever.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
