What do you think would happen if such add was aired in Sudan? Would we be witnessing anything similiar to the teddy bear affair? Or would they keep silent and mind their own business?

Honestly, I don't think anything would happen if the add was aired the way it is. They don't seem to fuss much when it comes to other prophets. Double standards?

Lazarus - if anyone finds I've violated the community guidelines by posting this, they are free to report me. I don't think I have though.

Well now "poppy", since none of us would be inclined to call for the torture murder of someone who "trespasses against us", the latter would seem to be the only logical and sensible conclusion.

I don't think it WOULD air in Sudan. The person who submitted say, a cartoon Mohammed drinking a Red Bull, would be in all sorts of crap, though. I agree that Christianity has a better grasp on these things right now, but the more I see people like Falwell and far worse, Fred Phelps, the more I think Christianity may be headed in that direction if they don't learn to accept that not everyone believes as they do.

why don't you white people understand that if you want to have respect you would have to give respect as well. thats all what i have to say and as i far as Rushdie is concerned he didn't spare anyone. even you white people. why are you always hurting our feelings. does your religion teach you to insult others . you would know at the day of judgment what punishment you would have for this.so think before you say something.

I think you already know the answer. If it remotely relates to Islam in any way there is likely to be a lynching.
