The opportunity to raise your own child is the most rewarding gift any person can ever be blessed with. From the moment you look into your infants eyes and hold your babies little hands you will believe in heaven. When your little baby responds to your love, your voice and your touch you will believe in yourself more each day. It is a selfish reason why we bear children. No love is stronger or more natural than that between parents and their newborn child. While the rewards are great, so are the burdens. To raise a child of your own you will sacrifice yourself in every way you can to help your child succeed. That is the reason why it feels so good to have a child, ... because you are willing to sacrifice yourself for someone else. If you want a glimpse of how good it feels to have your own child, try to do something for anyone else that you know or meet in public. Do something that is meaningful even if it's not a big thing. See how good you feel about yourself afterwards? Now multiply that by one hundred and then again by the remaining days in your lifetime. Having a child may not change the whole world but it certainly will change and broaden your life beyond your expectations.
That's how rewarding it is to have a child.
Good luck and God bless you.

Yes the world is becoming worse & worse all the time, but babies & children bring joy into peoples lives & the children are not the ones making the world a bad place to live. If your mother had felt the same way that you do, you would not be here now. If everyone stopped having children, then eventually we would be extinct. I think everyone who wants children should be entitled to have at least one or two, & no one should be able to tell them diffrent.

Sounds like you are cold, bitter and full of hatred. Once you look into your child's eyes all that disappears. Maybe one of our children will help change the ways of the world/

Because by bringing children into this world, you can teach them love and respect and to be warm. It's something good in a not so great world. The light at the end of the tunnel. Just because you seem resentful of the world, does not mean everyone is.

Because you hope to change it.
Honestly I dont know that I could have anymore. I know my son has purpose, but the thought of knowing the hardships he'll face is overwhelming. I think I'd rather adopt.
