I was thinking about living in Fort Laurderdale, Boca Raton, Deerfield, Fort Myers, Naples, and mabye evan somewhere around Miami? But i'm not sure about Miami, to much crime and ect. But yes tell me if these places are nice or good place to live in florida. Like what are the hurricanes and rain like? How good are there beaches, schools, downtown ect? Write in the most detailed long anwser you can give me. Thank you!

Well, this year Oregon had more hurricane force winds than we did (Cat3 @ 127mph)

If you live inland - it is less expensive than on the coast, like Miami-Ft Lauderdale

A newspaper did a survey a couple of years back- with a
$100 state average for a weeks worth of groceries-gas -insurance and phone

Miami-Ft Lauderdale-Naples area $120-125
Lakeland (Polk County) $85-90

and you don't go to the beach every day - I get there often
enough - and taxes are higher in the water counties, too

all the best -

so - come down and visit on your vacations
see which area seems best to you

I would suggest on the Gulf side, we live an hour from Fort Myers.
We haven't had hurricanes in 2 years. It is cheaper here
where we live, our taxes are cheap. The schools are good and the beachse are great. Come on and visit.
Wish you had email so I could tell you more stuff, I will
tell you our taxes were $1,390.00 this year and the home
owners is $900.00 a year. We get flood which is extra-
$208.00 a year. I think about people in Illinois who are
payng four to five thousand just for property taxes.
