My Gas cooker isnt working properly, the hob and grill are working fine but the Oven wont ignite. I noticed Sunday after using the oven Saturday night to cook Duck. Could it just be blocked because I did notice that their was tons of fat spitting when the duck was in.
Any ideas?
Obviously I will call in someone to mend it but would just like to know if maybe I could take the bottom out first and clean out the area just in case its just simply bunged up.

Take the bottom out and clean. If the unit has a pilot light, check to see that it is burning. Vent all gas from the appliance before: If you have one, light it up. If it goes out you need a thermo-couple (get help)

The Dutch Oven needs to be introduced into the relationship as soon as possible. Once they are accepting of it, it will make the Hot Carl, Angry Pirate and Cajun Hotstick more enjoyable.

Well you could try cleaning it of course, that won't hurt anything but certainly do call someone in. Gas is very tricky and dangerous you should not attempt too much on your own.

P.S. Hope the duck was tasty!

most gas ovens light the bake or broil function with what is called a glow bar or ignitor. It would be what you say glowing orange inside the oven. If you dont see a glow then its bad. You may also have a bad gas valve.
