My period was two months late....when it finally came on it was brown and really lumpy like it had a lot of tissue in it. Should I be concerned?

You may have miscarried. Talk to your doctor for a more definite answer.

Yes it is normal for there to be brown blood (which is just old blood) at the start and even end of the period for some women. As for the tissue, that is just the lining that had built up during the month to get ready in case pregnancy occurred but is no longer needed so the uterus pushes it out. When it pushes it out it comes out in clumps also called clots. This can also be normal for some women. Where the concern comes in is if the clumps/clots are bigger than the size of a quarter.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

No, this is just old blood that should have been expelled a month ago, that is why it is brown. Your next period should be red again.
