This report has been out for a couple of years and the Bush Administration has suppressed it. Bush knew about this and did not want it to get out so he could continue his false rhetoric against Iran. You can bet that Bush was angry as hell when it leaked out finally, after he and Cheney had successfully kept it under wraps for so long.
The only reason Bush is so dead set about making up claims that Iran has nuclear weapons is because Israel wants the US to attack Iran, just like it wanted the US to attack Iraq. Israel is the cause of all these problems; Israel wants the US to attack and destroy every other nation in the Middle East.
Get rid of Israel and you get rid of all the problems. Until the American people wake up to this Israeli charade, we will continue to have wars in the Middle East because no US politician had the guts to say "NO!" to Israel.
The real question should be: What is your reaction to the SUPPRESSION by the Bush Administration of The Intelligence Report That Iran Has Had No Nuclear Program For Four Years?

First you are portraying the report wrong. It says that it appears that Iran has stopped one part of their nuclear armament program. They are not producing nuclear weapons, but their program is still going on. They still have the ability to produce components that can go into making weapons.
It is also pretty evident if you look at the timelines, they stopped shortly after we invaded Iraq. So, obviously, they were concerned about what we would do next. Therefore, their "intent" has not changed, they are just waiting us out.
Lastly, it remains to be seen whether the NIE report is even accurate. Remember, it is an intelligence report which is nothing more than an educated guess. NIE reports in the past have been proven wrong. This one is just getting a lot of media play because it makes Bush look wrong. The ones that supported him in the past were pretty much ignored.

I am not sure the accuracy of this intelligence report. I like to see the Iran government make everything relevant to its nuclear projects open to the public. They have 3000 reactors? What are their purposes? I think the CIA should train more Arabic intelligence officers for the Arab world.
Two months ago, the announce was the Iran is about to have a nuclear device. Now, they do not have anything. Are these CIA peoples all stupid? Which set of numbers are right? No wonder the U.S. voted to go to the war with Iraq before - the wrong intelligence led us to go in. The Iran should make everything transparent to public!

IRONIC the same National interlligence estimate said that Iraq had WMDs in 2003. BUT it was a lie. the Democrats rallied behind that also for politics. Yet again, the NIE has come out with this report, saying the Iranians have halted their Nuke ambitions, the democrats are also rallting behind this report. However, the same NIE was dead wrong about Iraq. the same National interlligence estimate also says that Iran continues to enrich uranium could FINISH building a Nuke by 2010. Geee.. that sounds like only 2 years from now.

I have to agree with just about everyone else who replied--it's the same tired old spin that was spewed out during the build up to the Iraq war. Condi is even denying now that Iran is a democratic state, and is refusing to talk to the Iranian President (nutty as he may be) because she doesn't negotiate with dictators?? (Heh? He was democratically elected). I think in light of the fact that Iran poses no nuclear threat, the US will either try to convince the world Iran needs 'Democracy' or Israel will just do their dirty work for them.

Bush and his cronies did the exact same thing leading up to the war in Iraq. The NIE report that just came out and states Iran does not have an active nuclear program is most likely correct. The NIE report that came out before Bush ordered the invasion of Iraq stated that Iraq did not have a current WMD program.
Bush, Cheney, Libby, Rumsfeld and others, used halftruths to get congress's approval for the war. In all honesty, Bush should be impeached. Maybe this time we will call his bluff.
A good book to read on this subject is "Hubris".
