Wanting it all isn't an issue, but in order to have it all finding the person who has the same values and understanding is what will make it work. The problem is when you meet your mate are you both envisioning the same future. You can marry the strong macho manly man, or the upcoming I see myself as the next Trump type - but he's probably going to want a wife who acts the way he expects. Unfortunately when we marry too young we haven't really looked at what we want in life and after too long in a marriage we say to ourselves we want more - unfortunately the ground work has been set and now the person you married can't understand why things changed. It's great to get married but I think you have to be able to say would you support me if, how do you feel about.
Because someone maybe a powerhouse at work before marriage and then decide on a traditional married life after - so talk over the issues. No it won't solve everything but it can certainly give you a good idea of how you'll both handle the changes that occur in life. As for some statements about equality and manners. Well men don't hold the door open because they're not taught that curteousy any more. I have brothers, nephews and friends who do hold the door open, who do help carry packages and who are respectful of all people. It is the decay of society that has blurred the lines of caring ... we don't respect eldersor people, like in the days of past either, but that's a whole other subject. We're forced to do it all because we never start by asking for help in the beginning ... you can't always wait for the offer - in general people sometimes get too wrapped up in their own lives to pay attention to someone elses life. While dating did you try to do it all - then you marry and still try to do it all - then when you're overwhelmed say why don't you "offer" to help ? It's just the way we do things in life that sets a pattern of living.

I've been saying for years that women have got the bum deal now. If this is equality then they can stuff it. I think all this liberation crap has done harm and not good. Women get treated like crap now all in the name of equality - men don't feel they have to hold a door open or give up a seat on the bus because they say we're equal. But that doesn't apply in other area's like running a home and childcare - no, to many that's still a woman's job. In the workplace women still earn less yet do more. The fact that women are under pressure is ruining home life as I knew it as a child, kids are rebelling and theres no-one around to stop them. I'd rather go back to when women were homemakers and ran the home which they did damned well. Leave the working to the men and morals and priorities might just right themselves in this country xxx

lol yeah we are think its about time the men in our lives the boyfriend hubby boss etc should appreciate this and give us a national women's rest day and make it law so the men have to do what we do in a day and make it illegal for them to moan about having to do it while the women get to go to a spa free of charge for the whole day and be spoilt and pampered and the gov and men have to pay for it

As the old saying goes "if you want a job done properly, do it yourself" as said by women all over the world.

Well if women don't tell the men to help out then they will sit back and let them do it all. Women need to be more assertive if they want to succeed at both.
