After having presents on Christmas Eve night (just the two of us) ;we have a late breakfast on Christmas day, then my guy goes out to his workshop out back and fiddles around and I'm usually in the kitchen, baking or cleaning, wrapping up food gifts for Family....I usually play Christmas music or put a DVD holiday movie on....I'm into the Holiday spirit alot more than my guy is...=) Then about 2-3 pm we head out on the road to my In Laws cabin,an hour away from us...hopefully the roads will be in good shape to travel too...If everyone shows up theres around 25 of us....There we have games and snacks until the feast is served ( I take food there too) then we exchange gifts with them and try to get home around 9-10 pm....=)

Get up about 8.30,wake the boys up,hubby and me go downstairs and watch them open their pressies, which takes about 2 hours or so then we open ours.
Tidy up quickly, have a bacon butt and put the meat and veg on slow.
My in laws are coming about dinner time with their pressies then we will all have dinner about 3.
We then chill out and play with the boys stuff with them, then i will have a few drinks.
My in laws are brill so i don't have the same problem as you, i suggest when all is done have a few drinks and pretend their not there.

My plans for Christmas Day are the following:

1. Wish my family a Merry Christmas.
2. Open up my Christmas presents.
3. Help my mother make Christmas dinner.
4. Watch television, preferably sexy Spider-Man movies.
5. Help my mother clean up.

A local family has taken us under their wing, as my boyf and me don't live near our familys! So it will be a bit of a strange day with waifs and strays alike! Still looking forward to it!
Not the same as being at home though cos you can't just slob in your pjs and get pi*sed and fall asleep!

I'm sleeping in,probably breakfasting on some bagels, lox and cream cheese and then spending a day doing sweet diddly squat. I don't have any family to visit or to visit me.
I envy you your family.
On the other hand pray for my soul at new years when the mom in law comes to visit.

Wake up here with the Hooligans (what I call my kids) Open presents....get dressed and go to my parents house......Eat breakfast - which is a really yummy breakfast casserole that my mom makes.....then the kids dig into their stockings there....then we open presents from G-ma and G-pa.....we veg out for most of the day.....then have a really awesome Christmas dinner - ham, noodles, mashed taters, green beans and jello...with homemade Christmas cookies for dessert :)

I will be seeing my s-i-l who drives me totally INSANE :(

Going to a pub with my family for a meal then all back to my sisters. My sister is a bit of a stress head so there's bound to be tears somewhere along the way, lol.

Well it'll be a girls only day - me and a couple of friends are hoping to avoid annoying families. It'll be a tradional turkey roast (which is far too big for three of us!) and cocktails throughout the day. Should be fun.
