NO, he never threatened Israel, he said that Zionism would fail :)
The Zionist/Neocon propaganda has no credibility, Iran is a peaceful nation.

I think politicians say much more than they do. It is a sort of propaganda by which they attract the attention of the the others. Above all, the Iranian president alone does not own the whole decision of war. This does not mean that The Iranian President or any Muslim like Israel, even though Israel evacuated the whole land and went up to the moon. The hatred is absolute and it will never relinquish. Violence takes away the life of its possessor; and those who create violence are the most people who suffer from it. However, the best victor is the one who wins without a battle.

So, if he didn't say that what did he actually say? And more importantly, what did he mean?
Well, his apologists, such as yourself, usually like to spin it by saying he meant "regime change" something akin to the former Soviet Union going from communism to capitalism.
But, in truth, since Israel is a democracy then what does it mean exactly to have a "regime change" for a democracy?
What does he expect Israel to do?
Well, as is probably clear, the only potential way for Iran to effectively do that is to go to war with Israel. Thus, even with the charitable spin put on it by his apologists, what he said amounts to nothing but the threat of war.
But the basic problem his apologists have is not the spin they put on that one speech but the complete ignoring of his OTHER statements on Israel. His numerous other statements point to nothing but the desire for the destruction of Israel.
And what should also be clear is that this is not a "neo con" issue. Iran's nuclear ambitions are worrying to many people on both sides of the political aisle. The latest report that has come out seems to minimize the actual threat (which is potentially a good thing if the report is correct) but it is only a fool who thinks there is nothing there.

It may be a mis-translation of a 2005 campaign speech but even if he actually said it, that is not a sufficient reason to consider Iran an existential and an imminent threat to our ally Israel.
Words alone are not enough to justify hitting another person unless the words contain an imminent threat and the other person has the means or capability to harm you. By the same measure, Ahmadinejad's words in 2005 did not constitute an imminent threat that the US must respond to in 2008. As president of Iran, he lacks the authority to command the military and he cannot set foreign policy. Further, the intelligence agencies have told us that Iran does not have nuclear weapons under development. To put it another way, not only is there no real imminent threat to Israel or the US, but the words were not even spoken by someone who has the authority to start a war.

he is part of the money pit, those who hold the most and have no faith in Allah. They are not with Allah they are of the hypocrites. The Visit to USA was more than enough proof! He was made false with his intentions and made false accusations. They are part of the bindinburgers and they are of the filth and the slime of the earth. Warn you or not but that is the truth they are not who they say they are!

So, let me ask you, do you think Ahmedinajad WANTS Israel to be there?
It seems to me that you have some sort of problem with reality here. Conservatives know that Ahmedinajad wants Israel gone as does Israel. He isn't the only Muslim nation either. You can wrap your petty arguments with conservatives around 1000 years of hatred over there and re-post a serious question, because, you aren't making any sense.

I can't believe you guys. Now you're sticking up for a lunatic who wants nothing less than the destruction of Democracy. YES, HE THREATENED TO WIPE ISRAEL OFF THE MAP! Wake up. Do you not hear him start every single speech with a prayer for the return of the Mahdi? Do you even know what that is? Here's a clue; THE END OF DAYS.

Look at this website:

Al Jazeera, the same network that has contact with Al-Qaeda even admits that he says it. I dont think the people at Al-Jazeera are neocons, or anything similar.

Are you serious? Do we have to politicize EVERYTHING?? It is widely known that Iran and Israel are enemies, does the exact wording of his comments matter? It's pretty clear these people aren't going out to get a beer after work together. If you feel that bad for Iran go effing move there. Oh, but be careful you might be mistaken for an American and get be-headed! Conservatives are not war-mongers, we just live in the real world and recognize a threat when we see one.
