For all the people bashing muslims,
In all fairness there are equal amounts of bad people in other religion. You can read all the news regarding terrorism, bomb blasts, etc in India and you will come to conclusion that overwhelming majority of them have nothing to do with muslims. They are India's internal problems: Assam, Tamil, Maoist, Communists, etc.
As for unification, I don't think so. I just don't see it happening ever due to vast differences in cultures and religion and besides, no political parties or leaders of one country want to loose their elite position by joining another country.
Also, remember that yes, before 1947 they were one but they were joined into one by Britishers. Dig further back into history before Britishers came into South Asia and you will see how separated Pakistan and India were.

I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Even India today is trying to purchase uranium from Australia. India might use it to build bombs and nuke Pakistan, which will cause a huge death toll in Pakistan, seeing they're the 6th most populous nation.

They are better off separated. The muslim crazies would ruin things for everyone else.
